Securing top honors for its curriculum-based productions, the channel was recognized for WOW Kidapawan and Kinder Yes! The dual victory underscores the network’s continuous success in blending community-centric storytelling with early childhood education.

The Knowledge Channel Foundation, Inc. (KCFI) secured major accolades at the 29th KBP Golden Dove Awards, earning recognition for its exceptional educational programming. The foundation was celebrated for creating impactful content that both honors Filipino cultural heritage and champions the well-rounded developmental growth of young children.

Securing the title of Best Culture & Arts Program was “WOW Kidapawan,” KCFI’s premier educational travel show. This collaborative project with First Gen Renewables (formerly Energy Development Corporation) offers students an experiential learning experience by profiling the rich heritage, deep-rooted history, and environmental marvels of Kidapawan City. KCFI Vice President Edric Calma anchors the program, serving as an engaging guide who connects audiences directly with the heart of Cotabato’s local communities.
Meanwhile, the early-education series “Kinder Yes!” was recognized as the Best Children’s Program during the event. Jointly developed by the Knowledge Channel Foundation, Inc. and Bloomberry Cultural Foundation, Inc. (BCFI), the program is designed to foster early holistic growth—spanning intellectual, physical, and emotional development—by making foundational learning fun and impactful for young Filipino children.
“These awards affirm that educational content for Filipino children can be engaging, culturally relevant, and excellent. Through these programs we hope to help children build strong foundations for learning while deepening their appreciation of Filipino culture and identity. We also hope to provide teachers with engaging video lessons that enrich classroom learning and make lessons more meaningful for children,” said Rina Lopez, KCFI president and co-founder.
“Through our partnership with Knowledge Channel, ‘WOW Kidapawan’ brings Kidapawan’s natural and cultural heritage closer to Filipino learners, and inspiring greater appreciation for biodiversity and conservation,” said Maria Nancy P. Ibuna, head of corporate relations and communications of Energy Development Corporation.
“We are honored that ‘KinderYes!’ has been recognized for its contribution to early childhood education. Through our Foundations for Brighter Futures partnership with Knowledge Channel, we are proud to bring engaging learning experiences to young children through our shows, helping nurture young learners during their formative years,” said Filipina Laurena, executive director of Bloomberry Cultural Foundation, Inc.
Ultimately, the awards validate KCFI’s ongoing mission to democratize learning through creative and impactful media. By leveraging strategic partnerships with institutions that align with its core values, the foundation effectively strengthens its educational framework to ensure that young learners across the Philippines can truly flourish.
