The Jollibee Group has been recognized for its strong commitment to sustainability and responsible business practices, earning the Silver Award at the inaugural Asia ESG Positive Impact Awards 2025 held on November 6 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The regional recognition spotlights the impact of the Farmer Entrepreneurship Program (FEP) of the Jollibee Group Foundation (JGF), a flagship initiative that empowers smallholder Filipino farmers by integrating them into the company’s supply chain.

The award adds to the growing list of accolades affirming the Jollibee Group’s steady progress toward its sustainability goals—driven by purposeful leadership, engaged employees, and strong partnerships across communities.

Celebrating ESG Excellence Across Asia
Organized by A-EPIC Asia, the first-ever Asia ESG Positive Impact Awards serves as a regional platform honoring organizations that demonstrate excellence in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices. Gold awardees from leading ESG award programs—including the Philippine Daily Inquirer’s ESG Edge Impact Awards, Malaysia’s The Star, and Indonesia’s KG Media—advanced to represent their respective countries, highlighting Asia’s most impactful sustainability champions.
Malaysia’s Deputy Minister for Energy Transition and Water Transformation, Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir, underscored the importance of multi-sector collaboration, stating that government action alone is not enough and that meaningful progress requires the collective commitment of the private sector, civil society, and media to raise awareness, mobilize communities, and drive lasting behavioral change.
Empowering Farmers Through Inclusive Supply Chains

At the heart of the recognition is FEP, which continues to uplift smallholder farmers by equipping them with training, access to markets, and essential resources. By linking farmers directly to Jollibee Group’s supply chain, the program ensures consistent and sustainable sourcing while strengthening rural livelihoods and local economies.
“This award is a meaningful recognition of how collaboration between the private sector, farmers, and communities can drive inclusive growth,” said Gisela Tiongson, President of Jollibee Group Foundation. “Through FEP, we empower Filipino farmers to become agro-entrepreneurs, building a more resilient and sustainable food supply system. Beyond stable incomes, our partner farmers have gained confidence and a stronger entrepreneurial mindset—allowing them to invest in their farms, support their families, and send their children to school.”
Advancing Sustainable Growth Through Joy for Tomorrow
The recognition reinforces the Jollibee Group’s long-term sustainability agenda, Joy for Tomorrow, which is anchored on three core pillars: Food, Planet, and People. The company’s approach focuses on creating shared value, promoting environmental stewardship, and uplifting communities across its global footprint.
“This recognition affirms the direction of our sustainability framework—especially our People Pillar, where strengthening farmers’ livelihoods is a key priority,” said Pepot Miñana, Global Chief Sustainability Officer of the Jollibee Group. “It inspires us to deepen our partnerships with farmers and cooperatives and expand FEP’s reach to deliver lasting value to the people who help sustain our business and the communities we serve.”
Through FEP, the Jollibee Group also contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Zero Hunger (SDG 2), demonstrating how private-sector initiatives can drive shared progress by providing farmers with education, fair market access, and improved livelihood opportunities.
