MANILA, Philippines – P-pop Kings SB19 have officially entered the physical music market, turning one of their most career-defining musical projects into a premium collector’s edition item. Marked as the group’s debut physical album release, the Wakas at Simula Global CD Version bridges the gap between digital success and tangible memorabilia for fans.
The Wakas at Simula Global CD Version is strategically crafted to bridge the distance between SB19 and their international audience, matching the group’s escalating global footprint. This physical release marks a major step forward in their international expansion plans. It builds directly upon their recent milestones, which include headlining premier music festivals in major global markets, dominating international music charts, collaborating with world-class artists, and earning coverage from major global publications.
“For us, the Global CD Version represents a way to stay connected with A’TIN around the world and remind them that no matter where they are, they will always have a piece of home with them,” SB19’s Pablo explains. “We want them to know that SB19 will continue to be by their side through the best moments of their lives and even during the challenging times.”
The first batch of the CD has completely sold out, prompting Backspacer Records and Sony Music Entertainment to open another batch for purchase, which fans can purchase through this link: https://sb19.lnk.to/buy-WaSGlobalCD
After its initial digital-only release, Wakas at Simula now transitions into a tangible format, allowing global A’TIN to experience the music far beyond standard streaming services. This physical edition serves as a celebration of SB19’s artistic impact. It offers listeners a final chance to hold a permanent keepsake from the groundbreaking era that shaped the group’s most recent creative evolution.
Reflecting on the milestone, SB19’s Justin shared his deep appreciation for the fans’ incredible reception, framing the release as a testament to the shared journey and evolution of both the group and their fandom. He noted: “Since this is our first-ever CD release, it feels meaningful to share Wakas at Simula in a way that goes beyond just listening to the music. We’re grateful that our community can now experience the album in a more personal and lasting way and have something that they can cherish over time.”
SB19’s Josh further underscored that the physical release is a tribute to the symbiotic relationship between the group and their fandom, noting that the album’s tangible components are meant to immortalize the shared history of SB19 and A’TIN. He remarked “It’s important for us to share these pieces because we wouldn’t be here without A’TIN, and they are an important part of this journey. Through our music, we are able to tell our stories, but our fans are also part of the story we continue to create. By sharing actual fragments, elements, and objects from the Wakas at Simula universe, we wanted to give them something tangible that represents their connection to the album and allows them to feel like they are part of its history.”
Conceived as a comprehensive musical experience, the Global CD Version spans 24 tracks across two discs, maintaining the complete thematic and sonic vision of Wakas at Simula. This release goes far beyond standard physical albums by incorporating the detailed world-building that defined the project. It honors the group’s musical artistry while showcasing the distinct visual aesthetics of SB19’s celebrated “Ikalawang Yugto” era.
Adding to the conversation on world-building, SB19’s Stell pointed out that the release acts as a multi-sensory bridge for fans to explore the music’s themes more intimately. He shared “The great thing about Wakas at Simula is the story we were able to tell through the music, and having 24 tracks across two discs, along with the lyric book and exclusive memorabilia, allows us to expand that story beyond the songs themselves. These physical elements give fans a more profound way to connect with the album by allowing them to revisit the lyrics, explore the details, and experience the journey we wanted to share in a more personal way.”
Further proving that the project is a genuine labor of love, SB19’s Ken explained that the group’s direct participation ensures the premium product resonates deeply as an authentic piece of memorabilia. He stated “From how it looks to what they will receive inside, every element was carefully considered to reflect who we are as artists. More than just creating a physical album, we wanted it to feel like a meaningful collectible that fans can connect with and truly enjoy.”
The physical album is presented in a premium tri-fold package that features an integrated NFC tag, granting buyers instant digital access to the online album. Each copy is packed with exclusive merchandise, including two special photo prints, one random photocard (out of five total collectible versions), and a 52-page, full-color lyric booklet designed to enrich the album’s narrative. To elevate its collector status, a select number of copies feature incredibly rare memorabilia: exactly 100 lucky buyers will discover an authentic fragment from the official Wakas at Simula tome hidden inside their album.
