Prime Video has officially announced the highly anticipated arrival of the fantasy rom-com series HeartBeat, produced by renowned Korean broadcaster KBS. Starting from Monday, June 26, viewers in the Philippines and over 240 countries and territories worldwide can indulge in this captivating series exclusively on Prime Video. New episodes of the 16-episode series will be released weekly on Mondays and Tuesdays, allowing fans to immerse themselves in the story.

HeartBeat stars the exceptionally talented actor and artist Ok Taec-yeon, previously known for his roles in Let’s Fight Ghost, Vincenzo, and Blind. The series revolves around a thrilling romance between a vampire who yearns for an exhilarating love experience and a pragmatic woman who has no time for romance.

Seon U-hyeol, played by Ok Taec-yeon, harbors an unwavering desire to become human and taste the sweet essence of love. He spends a century sleeping in a coffin, only to have his goal unexpectedly disrupted when awakened by Joo In-hae, portrayed by Won Ji-an—a mesmerizing woman with a cold-blooded demeanor. Joo In-hae, having grown up fending for herself, has developed an armor of defense mechanisms, rendering her resilient and unyielding. However, her encounter with the enigmatic man from the coffin gradually unravels her inhibitions, leading to an unforeseen relationship between Seon U-hyeol and Joo In-hae. Won Ji-an has showcased her talent in previous works such as Hope or Dope, If You Wish Upon Me, and D.P.

David Simonsen, the director of Prime Video, Southeast Asia, expressed delight in partnering with one of Korea’s leading national broadcasters, stating, “The opportunity to collaborate with creators from KBS is a significant milestone for us, and we are thrilled to offer HeartBeat, a series that encompasses multiple genres, catering to our audience’s thirst for top-notch Korean content. This announcement reaffirms our commitment to expanding our collection of premium Korean titles on Prime Video.”

Lee Hyun-suk, the director of HeartBeat, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership with Prime Video, a platform with a global presence. He described HeartBeat as an exploration of vampires who are emotionally drained by humans. The series delves into the lives of Korean vampires in the 21st century, creating a story that promises laughter, amusement, and heartfelt moments. Audiences can look forward to witnessing the unexpected twists and turns in the love story between Seon U-hyeol, the vampire longing for humanity, and Joo In-hae, who possesses a cold-blooded demeanor reminiscent of a vampire.
