More than just a festival of music, color, and masks, MassKara embodies the resilient and optimistic spirit of Bacolodnons—a spirit that mirrors Globe’s drive to build stronger, faster, and more meaningful connections that enable progress and uplift communities.

“MassKara is all about joy, connection, and resilience—the same values that define Globe,” said Roche Vandenberghe, Chief Marketing Officer at Globe. “We’re proud to bring world-class connectivity, including Globe 5G, to Bacolod, so everyone can share their stories, celebrate, and go forward together.”

Stronger Connections, Brighter Celebrations

This year, Globe ensures that every smile, selfie, and story from MassKara can be shared in real time through expanded 5G coverage across Bacolod City. To support the surge of festival-goers, Globe has boosted network capacity and added broadband lines in key activity areas including Lacson Street, SM Bacolod, Robinsons, Paglaum Sports Complex, and the Public Plaza.

These network upgrades guarantee smooth livestreams, quick uploads, and seamless connectivity—allowing everyone to stay connected and share the joy without missing a beat.

Building a 5G-Powered Bacolod

Today, Bacolod and Negros Occidental are powered by more than 300 Globe cell sites, including 5G towers that provide fast, dependable coverage across the province. By 2025, Globe is set to roll out over 30 new and upgraded 5G sites, strengthening Bacolod’s standing as a digital hub of the Visayas.

Across Negros Oriental, Globe operates over 100 sites, bringing the total to nearly 600 cell sites across the island—making Negros one of the most connected provinces in the country, ready to support both everyday life and large-scale events like MassKara.

Enhancing the Festival Experience

To complement its network enhancements, Globe is elevating the MassKara Festival experience with the GlobeOne app, an all-in-one digital companion for festival-goers.

From October 17 to 19, visitors can join the fun at the Globe Festival Experiential Platform along Lacson Street, where they can:
Spin the “Wheel You Win” for exciting prizes
Redeem Globe Rewards for exclusive MassKara merchandise
Join the GFiber’Oke sessions
Enjoy games, raffles, and surprises throughout the day

Arriving passengers at the Bacolod-Silay Airport from October 13 to 17 are also greeted by Globe SIM booths, ensuring they stay connected the moment they land.

The celebration reaches its high note on October 17 with the G Music Fest at Capitol Lagoon, headlined by The Dukes, Earl Agustin, and Infinite Ridge—a night filled with music, lights, and the unmistakable energy of the City of Smiles.

More Smiles, More Connections

Globe’s partners — GCash, Jollibee, and Pettr — are also joining the festivities, bringing on-ground activities, prizes, and exclusive experiences that make this year’s MassKara even brighter and more connected.

As the festival lights fade, Globe’s network continues to power Bacolod’s growth in tourism, education, retail, and logistics. With every new 5G site built, Globe helps ensure that the city’s smiles stay connected, strong, and future-ready.
