The acclaimed documentary on the Philippines’ most iconic rock band heads for a 2026 theatrical release in North America, Middle East, UK, Australia, New Zealand, Spain, and Latin America
Evan Saxon Productions and The Filipino Channel (TFC) have officially acquired the international distribution rights for “Eraserheads: Combo On The Run”, the critically acclaimed documentary chronicling the journey of one of the Philippines’ most iconic bands.
Helmed by veteran entertainment executive Evan Saxon, Evan Saxon Productions has a storied history of bringing music documentaries and cinematic events to audiences worldwide. Saxon’s expertise includes global campaigns for Pearl Jam’s “Dark Matter”, which premiered in over 900 cinemas across 45 countries, and Coldplay’s “Moon Music”, screened in 800 cinemas across 40 countries. His portfolio also spans projects featuring legends such as The Beatles, Dolly Parton, Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, Green Day, Rush, Iron Maiden, and more.

With Saxon’s global expertise, Ventura is confident the documentary will resonate far beyond the Filipino diaspora, appealing to music lovers and cinephiles alike. The film is set for its initial international release in 2026, covering North America, the UK, Spain, and Latin America, with theatrical runs in key cities across these regions.
Meanwhile, TFC has secured distribution for the Middle East, Australia, and New Zealand, with a planned release across major Arabian cities in January 2026. TFC, part of ABS-CBN International, has previously distributed numerous Filipino films in North America under its TFC at the Movies banner.

Directed and produced by Ventura, “Eraserheads: Combo On The Run” has already garnered international acclaim, winning the Best International Feature Documentary Award at the Ierapetra International Feature Documentary and Film Festival in Croatia. It also made history as the first Filipino film to screen at San Diego Comic-Con and was selected for the Spotlight On The Philippines program at the 44th Annual Hawai‘i International Film Festival.
The documentary is presented by DVent Pictures, WEU, and Mano Y Mano.
