The Manila Hotel joins the global culinary spotlight with its participation in Goût de France 2026, offering guests a refined celebration of French gastronomy at the hotel’s iconic Champagne Room until May 31, 2026.

As part of the worldwide initiative honoring French culinary heritage, guests are invited to experience a carefully curated set menu crafted by the hotel’s culinary team under the leadership of Executive Chef Konrad Walter. The dining journey opens with a Puy Lentil Salad with Smoked Duck Breast, followed by a comforting Three Onion Soup with Brie Croutons.

For the main course, diners may indulge in a Roast Rack of Lamb in Herb Crust served with rosemary garlic jus, accompanied by gratin potato and seasonal market vegetables. The experience concludes on a decadent note with a French cheese selection, Apple Tart with Frangipane, French macarons, and a choice of coffee or tea—bringing a full spectrum of classic French flavors to the table.

Beyond the dining table, The Manila Hotel also marked its participation in the celebration through the Course des Garçons de Café (Waiter’s Race) held during “Makati Street Meet presents Goût de France” last May 17. Representing the hotel’s Champagne Room, Alfonso Punzalan and Lexter Guanzon delivered standout performances, securing 2nd and 3rd place finishes, respectively. The event was attended by Her Excellency Marie Fontanel, Ambassador of France to the Philippines and Micronesia, underscoring the occasion’s diplomatic and cultural significance.

“At The Manila Hotel, we honor global culinary traditions. Our yearly participation in Goût de France reflects our commitment to creating meaningful experiences that connect culture, cuisine, and community,” said Marvin Kim Tan, Vice President for Sales and Marketing.
