Learn how Calciumade, Hemarate FA, and Obimin Plus contribute to maternal health throughout every stage of pregnancy

The miracle of motherhood continues to be a powerful symbol of women’s strength, resilience, and unwavering courage. But for moms-to-be, pregnancy is more than just childbirth—it’s a life-changing journey filled with both challenges and uncertainty.
This year’s 21st National Buntis Day, celebrated annually by the Philippine Obstetrical and Gynecological Society (POGS) every March 10, reminded expectant mothers across the country that they are never alone. Through a series of nationwide events held in cities such as Cagayan de Oro, Las Piñas, and Mandaluyong, the campaign provided much-needed support, guidance, and care to pregnant women.

In collaboration with Calciumade, Hemarate FA, and Obimin Plus, POGS put a spotlight on the importance of maternal health across all stages of pregnancy. The initiative focused on three key aspects—bone, joint, and blood health—as well as the vital role they play in a baby’s brain development.
As part of the event, moms-to-be received free prenatal check-ups and ultrasounds, along with a free prenatal class from POGS. UNILAB also stepped in to provide free bone density and anemia screenings, reinforcing the campaign’s mission of comprehensive maternal care.

The event was filled with inspiring and empowering activities. Attendees benefited from educational talks on topics such as antenatal care, proper immunization during pregnancy, and breastfeeding best practices. Adding a celebratory note was the Miss Buntis Day Pageant, a touching tribute to the beauty and strength of expectant mothers. Meanwhile, the Liwanag Advocacy encouraged community involvement and raised awareness about key maternal health issues.
This year’s sessions were made possible through the joint efforts of POGS and Biofemme, the women’s health arm of UNILAB. Together with their brand partners, they underscored how crucial maternal health is for both mother and baby—especially in terms of nutrition and supplementation.
According to the DOST-FNRI Expanded National Nutrition Survey 2021, a staggering 97% of Filipinos are calcium-deficient—a statistic that is especially alarming for pregnant women who need more calcium for their baby’s bone formation and their own bone strength and flexibility.
To help address this, Calciumade® offers a blend of Calcium, Vitamin D3, and essential minerals that support strong bones and joint flexibility—ideal for expectant moms navigating the physical demands of pregnancy.

Meanwhile, Hemarate® FA, which combines Iron, Folic Acid, Vitamin B6, and Vitamin B12, helps the body produce new red blood cells, maintain alertness, and support oxygen delivery to both mother and baby. With 60 mg of elemental iron, Hemarate FA provides the DOH-recommended dose to prevent iron-deficiency anemia and ensure healthy fetal growth—especially in the final trimester when the baby’s iron needs peak.
Obimin® Plus, on the other hand, delivers a complete prenatal and postnatal nutritional profile with DHA, EPA, multivitamins, minerals, and high-dose folic acid—supporting brain and eye development, boosting immunity, and reducing the risk of pregnancy complications.
The 21st National Buntis Day served as a touching reminder that pregnancy is a complex and courageous journey. With the right knowledge, community support, and trusted supplements like Calciumade, Hemarate FA, and Obimin Plus, Filipino mothers can take charge of their health—and their baby’s future—every step of the way.
Take the next step toward healthier motherhood.
