Fast-rising Singapore-based bands return home to share the stage with Philippine bands
Bistro Rising 2025 makes its return to Manila with renewed purpose, uniting some of the most promising Filipino indie artists from Singapore and the Philippines in a dynamic cross-cultural music showcase. Set to take place on December 29, 2025, at 70’s Bistro in Quezon City, the highly anticipated event celebrates collaboration, creativity, and the shared musical pulse of two vibrant scenes.

Co-headlining the night are three Singapore-based Filipino bands that have been steadily making waves in the Lion City’s underground music circuit: soul-pop act iLaya, indie rock outfit Nostress, and ’80s new wave–inspired band The Next Wave. Bringing the Manila side of the lineup are Shumi, a Bulacan-based city pop band, and Rooftop Reveries, an indie pop-rock group acclaimed for their emotive songwriting and polished live performances.
Presented by Mushi Entertainment, Bistro Rising 2025 forms part of a broader initiative to strengthen creative and cultural ties between the Philippines and Singapore—two countries connected by a growing and increasingly visible community of Filipino musicians and creative talents.

“This event is a testament to the vibrant and growing indie music communities in both Singapore and the Philippines, creating opportunities for creative collaboration and talent showcase,” said Monx Moncayo, Founder and General Manager of Requiem Rising Singapore.
By bringing artists and audiences together on one stage, Bistro Rising 2025 reinforces the power of music as a bridge—spotlighting emerging voices while fostering meaningful connections across borders.
