A haunted refrigerator, a creature lurking in the bathroom, and a terrifying train ride. For generations of Filipinos, Shake, Rattle & Roll has turned even the most ordinary places into sources of fear, creating horror stories that have become part of childhood memories and Filipino pop culture.

More than four decades later, these familiar scares are finding a new home as Regal Entertainment and BingoPlus bring the beloved horror franchise into the world of interactive digital gaming.

The partnership combines Regal’s legacy in Filipino filmmaking with BingoPlus’ digital entertainment platform, introducing five original games inspired by the franchise: Manananggal, Reyna Ahas, Triple Terror, LRT Monster, and Aswang.

First released in 1984, Shake, Rattle & Roll has spent decades thrilling and frightening Filipino audiences with stories inspired by local folklore, Philippine mythology, and unforgettable fictional characters. Its iconic monsters have remained part of Filipino conversations long after moviegoers leave the cinema.

For Regal Entertainment, bringing the franchise into gaming presents an opportunity to introduce its stories to a new generation while preserving the distinctly Filipino elements that made them enduring.

“For more than four decades, Shake, Rattle & Roll has remained part of Philippine popular culture through stories that are distinctly Filipino,” said Roselle Monteverde, President of Regal Entertainment. “Our collaboration with DigiPlus opens a new chapter for the franchise, bringing its creative legacy into digital entertainment while preserving the storytelling and cultural identity that have made it enduring.”

The collaboration also highlights how two homegrown entertainment brands can combine their strengths to bring familiar stories to new audiences. Regal contributes the characters and creative legacy that Filipinos have known for years, while BingoPlus, under DigiPlus Interactive Corp., provides a platform where these iconic horror properties can be experienced through gaming.

Beyond the games themselves, the partnership celebrates Filipino creativity and the enduring appeal of local storytelling. It demonstrates how stories rooted in Philippine culture can continue to connect with audiences even as entertainment formats and viewing habits evolve.

“Our goal is to give our players premium entertainment. This partnership is also an example of how we work: we put our customers first. We listen to what our players enjoy, and we keep working to give them something fresh, engaging, and made for them. The Shake, Rattle & Roll games are part of that commitment,” said DigiPlus Chairman Eusebio Tanco.

He added, “Our goal is to give our players premium entertainment. That means high-quality games, thoughtful design, and worthy experiences. Partnering with Regal, one of the country’s most respected names in storytelling, helps us deliver that.”

The five Shake, Rattle & Roll-inspired games are now available on the BingoPlus app, with a phased rollout planned for ArenaPlus and GameZone, expanding the collection across more of DigiPlus’ digital entertainment platforms.

For Regal Entertainment and BingoPlus, the partnership creates another opportunity to keep Filipino stories alive in everyday entertainment, connecting generations of moviegoers who grew up with the franchise’s cinematic scares with audiences looking for a different kind of interactive experience.

After all, the monsters may be familiar, but there are still new ways to encounter them.
