Toyota Motor Philippines has announced its participation in two major automotive expos happening simultaneously from October 22 to 24, 2026, at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City: the 1st Philippine International Truck Show (PITS) and the 14th Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit (PEVS). The country’s leading mobility brand will showcase a diverse lineup of vehicles tailored to various commercial needs and consumer lifestyles.

At the Truck Show, Toyota will officially pull the wraps off its latest commercial adaptation, the Tamaraw Multi-Purpose Utility Vehicle (MPUV), targeting business owners and transport operators. Concurrently, at the Electric Vehicle Summit, attendees will get an up-close look at the latest sustainable mobility solutions from both Toyota and Lexus, highlighting the brand’s multi-pathway approach to electrification.
To give potential buyers a firsthand experience, Toyota is hosting dedicated test-drive activities at both events. Visitors can test various vehicles across the brand’s expansive portfolio to find the ideal match for their personal or commercial requirements.
A Milestone Showcase: Toyota Prepares to Debut at the 14th PEVS

Toyota is set to demonstrate its leadership in sustainable transportation by showcasing its extensive lineup of electrified vehicles, emphasizing its core values of quality, durability, and reliability (QDR). The brand’s exhibition will feature a mix of Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs) and Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs), alongside educational insights into Toyota’s history of pioneering electric mobility for Filipino motorists.
Visitors to the Toyota booth can view several key models in person, including the bZ4X BEV, Hilux BEV concept, Zenix HEV, and Corolla Cross HEV. Premium sustainable options will also be represented through luxury division displays of the Lexus ES HEV and Lexus RZ BEV.
To allow attendees to experience these technologies firsthand, Toyota will field a test-drive fleet featuring more than ten distinct electrified models during the three-day summit.
“We have been pioneering electric vehicle technology in the country since we locally introduced the Toyota Prius back in 2009. Many Prius units are still being used today, a testament to the longevity of Toyota’s EVs and quality, reliability, and durability. When customers choose to start their EV journey with Toyota, we can guarantee the peace of mind and seamless after-sales services to all our customers,” said TMP Marketing Division Senior Vice President Sherwin Chua-Lim.
Next-Gen Utility: The Tamaraw Evolves at the Inaugural Truck Show

Toyota will officially unveil the Next Generation Tamaraw MPUV at the inaugural PITS. Positioned as a “National Car,” this latest commercial conversion is designed to introduce Toyota’s legendary standards of quality, reliability, and durability directly into the country’s public transportation sector.
First previewed at Toyota’s manufacturing facility in Santa Rosa, Laguna, the Tamaraw MPUV was developed by closely studying the everyday requirements of local transport operators, government offices, and local government units. The creation of this modern public utility vehicle reinforces Toyota’s long-term commitment to providing a dependable, locally assembled transport solution that is truly built by Filipinos, for Filipinos.
“The Tamaraw truly is a blank canvas, taking different forms to help people realize their dreams. We are happy—and proud—to build it… Through the Tamaraw MPUV, let us bring our strengths together to make everyday life better—for commuters, transport operators, and communities. That is how we want to contribute to the Philippines: by delivering something people can use, depend on, and truly value in their daily lives,” shared Toyota Motor Philippines President Masando Hashimoto.
In addition to the premier of the Tamaraw MPUV, Toyota will exhibit a wide array of specialized commercial body applications for the iconic Next-Generation Tamaraw. Visitors will be able to inspect a diverse fleet of conversions tailored for various industries, including the Tamaraw Freezer Van, GL Dropside, Utility Van, Food Truck, and Fire Truck. For prospective buyers and operators looking to evaluate their real-world capabilities, Toyota will also make the Tamaraw Utility Van and GL Dropside variants available for public test drives.
