MOONTON Games, the renowned international gaming developer and publisher, collaborated with the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League – Philippines (MPL-PH) to orchestrate a send-off ceremony for the Philippine representatives, AP Bren and Blacklist International, heading to the M5 World Championship.
Over 500 enthusiasts, comprising fans, delegates’ families, franchise teams, MPL-PH, and Philippine Esports Organization (PESO) representatives, congregated to convey their best wishes to the esports contenders. Both Blacklist International and AP Bren are on a significant quest to defend the world championship title, aiming to reclaim the coveted trophy, won by ECHO during the M4 World Championship in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Harry Leonardo, the Esports Marketing Manager at MOONTON Games, shared, “The M5 World Championship is set to etch its place in MLBB esports history, with the Philippines not just hosting but also defending its world title. We’re eager to exhibit the Filipino prowess in esports to our global audience.”
Marlon Marcelo, the Executive Director of PESO, expressed confidence in the Filipino esports athletes, stating, “At PESO, we believe in our esports athletes who have consistently showcased their dominance in MLBB esports this year. We are optimistic that AP Bren and Blacklist International will rise to the occasion. Huwag kayong magpapatalo.”
The event unveiled exciting plans for fans, including the debut of the “My Letter To You: M5 Zero to Hero Video Series,” recounting the players’ inspirational journeys from humble beginnings to becoming triumphant MLBB esports athletes. Simultaneously, MLBB Philippines launched “Dugong Palaban,” the official local campaign music video, featuring the renowned singer Maymay Entrata and rapper Shanti Dope.
MOONTON Games disclosed plans for nationwide watch parties across various barangays, universities, and campuses. These gatherings aim to deliver an unforgettable streaming experience, fostering unity and pride as the delegates strive for the championship title.
