ABS-CBN once again proved its excellence in Philippine television, bagging 13 major awards at the 38th Star Awards for Television by the Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC). Among the network’s victories was a special award for the beloved tandem of Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino, recognizing their undeniable on-screen chemistry.
Leading the wins was “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo”, the country’s top primetime series, which secured the Best Primetime TV Series award.
Kim Chiu celebrated a double victory, winning Best Drama Actress for her powerful performance in “Linlang”, alongside the Female Star of the Night title. Meanwhile, Piolo Pascual was named Best Drama Actor for “Pamilya Sagrado”, also taking home the Male Star of the Night honor.

🎬 Alexa Ilacad, Bianca Gonzalez, Enchong Dee, Kim Chiu, Melai Cantiveros, and Robi Domingo – Best Reality Show Hosts
Additionally, Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino were honored with the prestigious German Moreno Power Tandem Award, further cementing their status as one of the country’s most sought-after on-screen pairs.
Since its establishment in 1987, the PMPC Star Awards for Television has celebrated the best in Philippine TV, recognizing outstanding shows and personalities.
