ABS-CBN, the leading media content provider in the country, continues its commitment to sharing valuable knowledge about the media industry with young students through the highly anticipated Pinoy Media Congress. This year’s congress, held in partnership with the Philippine Association of Communication Educators (PACE), will take place in a hybrid format throughout April and May.

The congress will commence on April 29 at Cavite State University and will then proceed to the University of the Philippines Mindanao on May 6. The host schools’ delegates will be joined online by students from various universities in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, creating a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.

To ensure accessibility and engagement, both sessions on April 29 and May 6 will feature online segments via Zoom, which will be hosted by the University of the Philippines Los Baños.

Participating students will have the invaluable opportunity to learn from esteemed media professionals, including Roxy Liquigan, the head of ABS-CBN Music, Leo Katigbak, the head of ABS-CBN Film Restoration, Kay Brondial, the head writer of “Dirty Linen,” and Jeff Canoy, the chief of reporters at ABS-CBN News.

Joining this roster of esteemed speakers are Dr. Rosario Ruby Roan-Cristobal, the executive producer and program anchor for Radyo Henyo/DZRH, and Val Vestil, the co-founder and executive director of the Association of Young Environmental Journalists.
