Filipino food content creator Abi Marquez, popularly known online as the “Lumpia Queen,” brought children and their families together for Kiddie Kitchen 2026, a hands-on cooking experience designed to introduce young participants to food, creativity, and learning in a fun and meaningful way.

Held on June 4, 2026, at Aruga by Rockwell, this year’s Kiddie Kitchen carried the theme “Farm to Fun,” inviting children to discover the journey of food from farm to table through interactive activities focused on fruits, vegetables, and local produce.

Known to millions online for making Filipino food more approachable and exciting, Abi shared that Kiddie Kitchen is especially meaningful to her because it reflects her own journey of discovering her passion for cooking at a young age.

“Kiddie Kitchen is very close to my heart because I started cooking when I was just five years old,” shared Abi. “I wanted to create something that would encourage kids to try new things, be creative, and believe in themselves. You never know where a simple hobby can lead.”

Young Chefs Take Over the Kitchen

Throughout the day, participants put on their own Kiddie Kitchen aprons and stepped into the role of young chefs as they prepared three dishes: vegetable pizza, palitaw, and turon.

Through these hands-on cooking activities, the children were introduced to different fruits and vegetables while developing their confidence, creativity, and appreciation for the food they created themselves.

Parents and guardians watched proudly as the young chefs explored new skills, expressed their creativity, and celebrated their accomplishments throughout the program.

From Farm to Table

Beyond the cooking activities, Kiddie Kitchen 2026 also placed a spotlight on the importance of local agriculture and the people behind the food that reaches Filipino tables.

Through an inspiring session with partner organization Sierezza, led by its founder Cherrys “Che” Abrigo, participants learned more about Filipino farmers and the important role local communities play in bringing fresh produce to homes across the country.

The farm-to-table lesson continued through a mini market setup, where the children selected their own ingredients before using them to prepare their dishes.

The activity gave the young participants a more tangible understanding of where food comes from, how it makes its way to their tables, and why supporting local farmers matters.

Bringing Kiddie Kitchen to a Wider Community

The Kiddie Kitchen experience also reached audiences online, with fellow creators and parent personalities—including Wonder Momma, Delightful Himig, Mommy Chelle Blogs, Beyi Reyes, Mommy Nicole, Papa Nics, and Mommy Prax—sharing their own Kiddie Kitchen moments.

Their posts helped bring the event’s message and experience to an even wider community of parents, children, and food lovers.

Kiddie Kitchen 2026 was made possible with the support of its valued sponsors and partners, including NYMA Talent Management, which shared the vision of creating meaningful, enriching, and memorable experiences for Filipino children.

Inspiring the Next Generation Through Food

As one of the country’s most recognized food creators, Abi continues to use her platform to make food more approachable, enjoyable, and inspiring for audiences around the world.

Through initiatives such as Kiddie Kitchen, she hopes to encourage more young people to stay curious, embrace learning, explore their creativity, and discover the joy that food can bring.

What began as a love for cooking at a young age has become an opportunity for Abi to inspire the next generation—one recipe, one discovery, and one young chef at a time.
