BEHIND THE BRAND. BEYOND THE ORDINARY.
Hong Kong is a dynamic city that continually reinvents itself to remain relevant amid changing times. In its special episodes, “I Heart PH” highlights distinctive local businesses and creative destinations, including Bakehouse, Kingstone Engraving, TeemTonefai, Goods of Desire (G.O.D.), and Dara.
Bakehouse is one of Hong Kong’s popular artisanal bakeries, combining traditional baking techniques with a contemporary twist. At its helm is chef Grégoire Michaud, who previously served as executive pastry chef at Four Seasons Hong Kong before establishing Bakehouse’s first brick-and-mortar retail location in Wan Chai.
Kingstone Engraving preserves the traditional art of personalized craftsmanship, transforming ordinary objects into meaningful souvenirs through classic hand-carved stamps. These stamps serve as distinctive alternatives to conventional signatures, keeping the art of stamping alive while creating nostalgic, memorable impressions.
TeemTonefai, a popular artisan ice cream and gelato brand in Hong Kong, draws customers with its unique flavors and towering gelato stacks. Although a newer addition to the area, it has already begun building a loyal following among dessert enthusiasts.
Another must-visit destination is Goods of Desire (G.O.D.), which offers stylish accessories and home décor inspired by Hong Kong’s local life, architecture, and traditions. Founded by designer Douglas Young, the brand serves as a love letter to Hong Kong and its everyday culture, allowing visitors to bring home a piece of the city through its creatively designed products.
“I Heart PH” also features Dara, a Filipino restaurant that celebrates the heritage of Filipino comfort food in Hong Kong. More than a dining destination, Dara provides a welcoming gathering place where Filipinos can connect with the community and enjoy the warmth of home. Its co-founder and head of operations, Jermaine Bunoan, emphasizes the simplicity and familiarity of classic home-cooked Filipino meals as the foundation of the restaurant.
From hidden gems and distinctive local finds to spectacular attractions and exciting discoveries, Hong Kong proves that it is more than just a place to visit—it is a destination to explore, experience, and be inspired by.

THE DIFFERENT SIDES OF OLD TOWN CENTRAL

A colorful stroll along Hollywood Road reveals street art that transforms ordinary walls into extraordinary works of creativity. Meanwhile, Kowloon Soy offers an opportunity to discover Hong Kong’s soy sauce-making heritage and savor the traditional flavors that have shaped its culinary identity.
At PMQ, short for Police Married Quarters, heritage meets contemporary creativity. This historic landmark has been reinvented as a thriving hub for design, fashion, art, and lifestyle.
After a day of exploring the city, visitors can unwind at Bar De Luxe, which brings a sophisticated touch to Hong Kong’s vibrant bar scene through the precise and elegant Ginza-style bartending associated with Tokyo.
