The accolades keep rolling in for ABS-CBN as the network’s flagship shows and biggest stars took center stage, walking away with a mountain of honors at the 29th KBP Golden Dove Awards.
Celebrated for its gripping narrative and powerhouse ensemble, the mystery-thriller “What Lies Beneath”—topbilled by Charlie Dizon, Janella Salvador, Kaila Estrada, and Sue Ramirez—clinched the Best Drama Program for Television award.
Recognized for his exceptional performance, “Sins of the Father” lead star Gerald Anderson took home the Best Actor award for his role as Samuel Trinidad.
Adding to the network’s big night, Julia Montes was named Best Actress, earning top honors for her emotional depth and brilliant portrayal of Anna Sarmiento in the drama “Saving Grace.”
Expanding its winning streak to the musical variety genre, ABS-CBN’s long-running “ASAP XP” secured the Best Variety Program for Television trophy. The win specifically honors “ASAP in England,” a milestone special that exported the vibrant Filipino concert experience to international viewers.
In the journalism and public service categories, the ABS-CBN News documentary “BINI Chapter 3: Hanggang Dulo”—which maps out BINI’s historic rise to global fame—secured the Best Special Program trophy.
ABS-CBN News Documentaries clinched the Best Documentary Program for Television title for its stellar investigative reporting, while “My Puhunan: Kaya Mo!” took home Best Public Service Program for its motivating features on Filipino entrepreneurs.
