Jollibee achieved a major historic milestone by teaming up with DreamWorks Animation for its first-ever worldwide theatrical partnership. The landmark global campaign is tied directly to the cinema release of the animated feature film Forgotten Island.

The film follows lifelong best friends Jo and Raissa as they accidentally pass through a hidden portal to Nakali, a mystical island populated by creatures pulled straight from their families’ Filipino folklore. However, the stakes escalate when they realize that returning home requires sacrificing the memories of their bond; the two friends must figure out an escape route before they lose all recollection of each other forever.
Boasting a powerhouse lineup of Filipino and Filipino-American artists, the film’s star-studded ensemble includes Broadway icon Lea Salonga, stand-up sensation Jo Koy, multi-award-winning musician H.E.R., and actress Liza Soberano. Bringing a distinct cultural authenticity to the production, the project is helmed behind the camera by filmmaker Januel Mercado, who serves as the feature’s co-writer and co-director.
“Great stories and great food both have a way of bringing people together,” said David Beal, Jollibee Group global chief marketing officer and head of digital marketing. “With DreamWorks Animation’s Forgotten Island, we’re inviting friends and families to celebrate the joy of friendship—from watching the film to sharing a delicious Jollibee meal together. It is a simple expression of what Jollibee has always stood for: serving great-tasting food and bringing the joy of eating to everyone.”
Bridging the film’s musical landscape with local pop culture, the phenomenal Filipino girl group and Jollibee brand ambassadors, BINI, contributed the track “A Parallel World” to the official Forgotten Island soundtrack. The high-energy electronic-pop anthem features a blend of English and Filipino lyrics and made its global debut across streaming platforms.

Elevating the track to a global stage, BINI delivered a live performance of the song during the Forgotten Island panel at San Diego Comic-Con, introducing both the group and the film’s message to an international fan base. The accompanying music video incorporates a nod to Jollibee, capturing the members sharing candid moments over their favorite comfort meals during their travel to the United States for the track’s recording sessions.
“At Jollibee, we value partnerships that allow us to collaborate with world-class brands and create experiences that genuinely resonate with our customers,” said Dorothy Ching, vice president for marketing of Jollibee Philippines. “Our partnership with DreamWorks is especially meaningful because Forgotten Island brings together universal themes of friendship and family with Filipino-inspired storytelling. We are proud to be part of this global collaboration and excited to bring the spirit of the film to Jollibee communities around the world.”
This high-profile partnership unites Hollywood animation, rich Filipino heritage, and Jollibee’s hallmark focus on family and community, bridging the gap between cinematic storytelling and everyday dining experiences. By blending the film’s themes with real-world interactions, the campaign transforms a major movie release into shared moments over comfort food.
Additional features of this historic partnership are slated for release, including an exclusive, movie-themed promotional offer from Jollibee. Exact details and rollout plans will be shared by the brand at a later date.
DreamWorks’ Forgotten Island made its highly anticipated global debut in theaters earlier this week on September 23, 2026.
