The Filipino alternative pop band celebrates 12 years with its most ambitious production to date, culminating in an emotional farewell performance with drummer Janessa Geronimo

Filipino alternative pop band Over October is set to mark a defining moment in its 12-year journey with its biggest concert to date, Over October Live at the New Frontier Theater, happening on October 4, 2026, at the New Frontier Theater.
Following two sold-out concerts at the Music Museum and the band’s successful 2025 anniversary show at the MOA Sky, the upcoming concert will serve as a special farewell tribute to drummer Janessa “Janae” Geronimo. It will also be the last official concert featuring Over October’s original five-member lineup before the band enters a new chapter.

“For better or for worse, Janessa’s departure is something we will all have to come to terms with,” the Ikot band admits. “We’re all, for the most part, excited for both Over October’s and Janessa’s respective new chapters. But of course, we also feel that a good thing is about to come to an end.”
A New Chapter for Over October
The Filipino quintet acknowledges that every member has dealt with Janessa’s departure differently, with the prospect of continuing without one of the band’s original members understandably bringing a mix of excitement, uncertainty, and apprehension.
“When the dread of Janessa’s departure and the nerves about how the band will move forward become too overwhelming, we just try to remind ourselves that our working relationships might come to an end soon, but our friendship will always be there. Creatively, there will be adjustments and changes, but honestly, we’re still feeling it out. What we can confidently say is that we’re still focused on giving the best shows these coming months and in the concert.”
The upcoming performance therefore becomes more than a milestone concert. It is an opportunity for the band and its longtime fans to celebrate the music, memories, and friendship that have shaped Over October’s journey before the group moves forward into an era that will look different from the past 12 years.
Celebrating 12 Years of Music and Memories
Over the past twelve years, Over October has established itself as one of the Philippines’ most beloved alternative pop bands. Through heartfelt songwriting, memorable live performances, and a catalog of songs that have become anthems for a generation of listeners, the band has built a loyal and dedicated following.
Streaming milestones and sold-out shows have helped fuel the group’s crossover success, but for Over October, its greatest accomplishments cannot be measured by numbers alone.
“There are so many points of our career that we can say are defining moments,” shares Over October in a press statement. “We can look at the hits, the streams, and the shows—all of which we are proud of. But we consider the memories we collected along the way just as important as all our achievements are.”
The band adds that this sentiment lies at the heart of the upcoming concert, which will reflect on the experiences that have defined Over October’s journey together.
“This goes in line with the heart of the concert: reflecting on our journey together, particularly now that the future of the band will look so much different compared to the past 12 years.”
