Hotel101 Global Holdings Corp. (NASDAQ: HBNB) has taken another major step in its international expansion strategy after signing definitive binding agreements for the joint venture development of a 770-room Hotel101 property in Bangkok, Thailand.

The project marks the hospitality company’s latest overseas venture and brings its globally standardized “condotel” business model to one of Southeast Asia’s busiest capital cities and key transportation hubs. Hotel101 Global is the hospitality subsidiary of Philippine-listed DoubleDragon Corporation and is recognized for its asset-light, prop-tech-driven hotel platform.

Prime Location in Bangkok’s Growing Northern District

Hotel101-Bangkok will rise on an approximately 8,336-square-meter property along Phahon Yothin Road, strategically located beside the Yaek Kor Por Aor BTS Station and just minutes from Don Mueang International Airport.

The location provides convenient access to Bangkok’s extensive BTS Skytrain network while placing guests close to major commercial districts, residential communities, shopping destinations, restaurants, and popular attractions such as Chatuchak Market and the Yaek Night Market.

With Bangkok continuing to strengthen its position as one of Southeast Asia’s leading tourism and business destinations, the development is expected to benefit from strong domestic and international travel demand.

A 770-Room Hotel Designed for Business and Leisure

Once completed, Hotel101-Bangkok is expected to generate approximately 1.925 billion Thai baht (around US$58 million) in sales revenue upon full sell-out.

Targeted for completion by 2029, the property will offer Hotel101’s signature combination of standardized accommodations and four-star amenities at accessible price points.

Guests can expect modern guest rooms, a 24-hour reception, all-day dining restaurant, swimming pool, fully equipped fitness center, business center, children’s pool, luggage storage facilities, ample parking, and conference and meeting spaces designed to cater to both leisure travelers and corporate events.

Strengthening Hotel101’s Global Expansion

The Bangkok project forms part of Hotel101 Global’s long-term vision of establishing one million standardized hotel rooms across 100 countries through its scalable asset-light hospitality model.

The company continues to expand its international footprint following the successful launch of Hotel101-Madrid, which became the brand’s first operating property outside the Philippines. Since opening in March 2026, the hotel has posted strong occupancy levels, including achieving full occupancy and generating more than €100,000 in revenue in a single day, underscoring growing demand for the Hotel101 concept in the European market.

Meanwhile, Hotel101 is also preparing to open Hotel101-Niseko in Hokkaido, Japan, later this year, further expanding the brand’s presence in key international tourism markets.

Record Year for Hotel101

The company expects 2026 to be its biggest year yet for hotel expansion, with a total of 2,229 new hotel rooms scheduled to become operational.

The pipeline includes:

  • 680 rooms at Hotel101-Madrid, Spain (now operational)
  • 519 rooms in Davao
  • 548 rooms in Cebu
  • 482 rooms at Hotel101-Niseko, Japan

These additions will significantly expand Hotel101’s recurring revenue base while supporting DoubleDragon Corporation’s broader portfolio spanning hospitality, office, industrial, and retail developments.

Building a Global Filipino Hospitality Brand

Hotel101 continues to achieve significant milestones for the Philippine hospitality industry.

In 2025, Hotel101 Global became the first Filipino company to have a subsidiary listed on the Nasdaq Stock Market. This year, the company reached another milestone by becoming the first Filipino hotel brand to establish operations overseas.

With total assets now valued at ₱225.3 billion, DoubleDragon Corporation continues to pursue the international expansion of Hotel101 with the goal of building a globally recognized Filipino hospitality brand while contributing to increased foreign revenue inflows for the Philippines.

As the company accelerates its international growth, Hotel101-Bangkok represents another key milestone in its ambition to bring its standardized hotel model to major cities around the world.
