Japanese singer Nanao is set to make a vibrant entrance into the Philippine music scene under KDR Music House, introducing a fresh and exciting sound she calls “JP-POP”—a cross-cultural fusion that blends the signature style of J-pop with the heart and language of Filipino storytelling.

JP-POP brings together the melodic charm and high-energy sensibilities of Japanese pop with Tagalog lyrics, creating a sound that feels both familiar and refreshingly new. Drawing inspiration from Japan’s dynamic live music culture, the genre incorporates chant sections and interactive call-and-response moments—designed to turn listeners into active participants and elevate the live music experience for OPM audiences.

Leading her much-anticipated debut is the upbeat single “Pito Pito,” set for release on May 27, 2026. Inspired by the number seven—a symbol of luck and a playful nod to her name—the track is crafted to unite listeners through rhythm, energy, and shared participation.

Even before her official debut, Nanao has already built a strong connection with Filipino fans. Her OPM cover performances on social media have collectively garnered over 10 million views, signaling a growing fanbase drawn to her unique voice and cross-cultural appeal.

Originally from Tokyo, Nanao’s bond with the Philippines runs deeper than music. After visiting the country, she chose to further immerse herself in its culture by studying in Cebu, where she began learning both English and Tagalog—an experience that now shapes the authenticity of her sound.

With her distinctive musical direction and steadily rising popularity, Nanao—together with KDR Music House—is poised to introduce a new wave of global influence into OPM, bridging cultures and redefining how music connects across languages and borders.
