The Pokémon Company (Minato-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Tsunekazu Ishihara) and Nintendo Co., Ltd. (Minami-ku, Kyoto; President: Shuntaro Furukawa) are thrilled to announce that Pokémon Pokopia—the first Pokémon game for Nintendo Switch, released globally on March 5, 2026—has sold over 2 million copies worldwide in just four days. Approximately half of these sales come from regions outside Japan. (Source: Nintendo Co., Ltd., including digital sales)

Designed and co-developed by The Pokémon Company, GAME FREAK inc., and KOEI TECMO GAMES, Pokémon Pokopia introduces players to Pokémon’s first cozy sandbox experience. The game invites fans to restore a desolate land alongside their Pokémon companions, embrace the joys of slow living, and craft their own unique utopia.

In Pokémon Pokopia, players take on the role of a Ditto transformed into a human, gathering resources such as wood and stone to craft tools or berries to share with Pokémon friends. The in-game world mirrors real-world time, allowing players to experience a living, breathing environment complete with changing weather, dynamic day-night cycles, and a wide variety of Pokémon to meet and befriend.

Pokémon Pokopia combines creativity, exploration, and companionship, offering fans a relaxing yet engaging adventure that redefines the way players interact with the Pokémon universe.
