Manila, Philippines – 29 January 2026 — VinFast has rolled out an updated battery subscription policy in the Philippine market, a move aimed at significantly reducing upfront vehicle costs and making electric vehicle (EV) ownership more accessible to Filipino consumers. The initiative underscores the company’s customer-centric strategy as it continues to promote green mobility across the country.

Alongside the traditional option of purchasing a vehicle with the battery included, VinFast customers may now opt for a battery subscription model that can lower initial acquisition costs by up to approximately 20 percent, depending on the model. Monthly subscription fees begin at PHP 1,600 and are calculated based on actual driving distance, giving motorists a more flexible approach to EV ownership.

The revised pricing applies to VinFast’s growing Philippine lineup, including the VF 3, VF 5 Plus, VF 6 Eco and Plus, VF 7 Eco and Plus, and the flagship VF 9 Plus. With the updated figures, the VF 3 is priced at PHP 745,000 with the battery included, while customers who choose the subscription model can purchase the vehicle for PHP 590,000, paired with a monthly battery fee.

Marketed as a “lifetime battery warranty” solution, the subscription program goes beyond affordability. VinFast assumes full responsibility for battery performance throughout the subscription period, covering maintenance, repairs, and free replacement once capacity drops below 70 percent. Battery damage resulting from accidents is likewise handled under the program, helping reduce financial risks for vehicle owners.

For customers who prefer full battery ownership from the outset, VinFast continues to offer comprehensive aftersales support, including a battery warranty of up to 10 years or 200,000 kilometers. This dual-option strategy enables buyers to select the ownership structure that best matches their driving habits and financial priorities.

Mr. Antonio Zara, Chief Executive Officer of VinFast Southeast Asia, said the revised policy addresses major consumer concerns around EV adoption.

“With our pioneering battery subscription policy, we aim to remove the biggest concerns of Philippine consumers, helping VinFast electric vehicles become a truly practical and accessible choice for every household when combined with our comprehensive sales and aftersales policies,” Zara said. “This also reaffirms VinFast’s commitment to rewrite the rules of the market and create the most favorable conditions for customers in the green transition.”

The update complements VinFast’s broader ecosystem of incentives in the Philippines, which includes free charging at stations operated by strategic partner V-Green, flexible financing programs with low down payments, and a residual value guarantee scheme offering returns of up to 90 percent of the original vehicle price.

More than a year after entering the local market, VinFast has continued to strengthen its presence through a diverse EV lineup, customer-friendly sales programs, and an expanding aftersales service network. Working closely with authorized dealers and strategic partners, the company is also accelerating the rollout of charging infrastructure and service workshops nationwide to ensure convenient and reliable support for Filipino motorists.

With its latest policy update, VinFast is positioning itself to further accelerate EV adoption in the Philippines—lowering barriers to entry while reinforcing long-term confidence in sustainable transportation.
