The Gawad Alunig x Dalumat (GAxD) campaign extends entry submission deadline to December 5, 2025
Due to strong public interest and sustained demand from the creative and innovation communities, the Department of Science and Technology – Technology Application and Promotion Institute (DOST-TAPI) has announced the extension of the submission deadline for Gawad Alunig x Dalumat (GAxD) to December 5, 2025.

The deadline extension responds to numerous requests for additional time, giving participants greater flexibility to refine their entries while opening the door to even more storytellers eager to spotlight proudly Filipino technologies and innovations. Through this move, DOST-TAPI aims to broaden participation and strengthen this year’s showcase of homegrown ingenuity.
The GAxD campaign serves as a creative platform that empowers Filipinos to tell compelling stories using engaging, shareable content that brings local technologies to the national spotlight. Beyond recognition, the initiative also allows DOST-TAPI to identify and extend support to innovations featured in selected GAxD entries, helping bridge innovation and commercialization.
Both Gawad Alunig and Gawad Dalumat categories are open to teams of up to three members. Each team is required to submit a 30-second portrait video introducing themselves, which will be featured on DOST-TAPI’s official media platforms.
The technology or innovation highlighted in a GAxD entry may come from any Philippine-based source, including universities, research institutions, individual inventors, and startups. While patents or other forms of intellectual property protection are not required, they are highly encouraged. As long as the innovation can be effectively presented through short-form advertisements or photo essays, participants are welcome to submit their stories. However, technologies already listed under DOST-TAPI–assisted projects are not eligible, ensuring the campaign continues to surface new and emerging innovations and connect them with DOST-TAPI’s support programs.
To qualify, all participants must like and follow the official Facebook pages of @iINVENTPH, @TeKnowLohiya, and @DOST.TAPI, with proof submitted through the campaign’s official submission links. Only entries submitted via these official links will be reviewed and considered by DOST-TAPI.
Complete guidelines for GAxD are available at bit.ly/GAxD2025Guidelines.
