Quezon City – The Gateway Gallery opened its doors today for the media launch of Gateway Art Fair 2025. The event offered a preview of Quezon City’s biggest art celebration, happening from October 2 to 5 at Araneta City’s Gateway Malls.

Compared to last year, this year’s fair brings fresh perspectives. For instance, the Coffee Artists PH have shifted to using locally sourced beans from Mindanao. In doing so, they add both local flavor and deeper stories to their signature coffee paintings.

Meanwhile, artist Sir Yanni Rumbaosa, known for his intricate coin engravings, challenges both new and seasoned creators:
“I challenge you to create your own style. Your own creation, your own identity.” His call is a reminder that art is more than imitation—it is about carving one’s personal mark in a wider cultural landscape.

Art for All
These hands-on previews of the main fair reflect the guiding theme of the event: “Live Your Art.” Visitors this October will enjoy more than art displays. They can join plein air painting, try printmaking, or engage in conversations with exhibiting artists.

“This year’s Gateway Art Fair goes bigger and bolder through private and community collaborations, taking over the Gateway Mall activity areas at the City of Firsts,” shared Diane Romero, Executive Director of JAAF. “We want everyone to feel art’s impact and see how it can inspire and connect us all.”

Beyond the Exhibit Walls
The Gateway Art Fair continues its legacy of accessibility by continuing to waive the admission fee, consistent with JAAF’s mission of democratizing culture and supporting Filipino creativity. Through 36 curated exhibits showcasing emerging and mid-career artists, there will also be side events that blend audience and artists engaged in the experience.

And with Gateway Gallery celebrating its 10th anniversary, the 2025 fair is as much a celebration of legacy as it is of future creativity.

Save the Dates

The Gateway Art Fair 2025 runs from October 2–5 at Gateway Mall 1 and 2, Araneta City. Visitors can expect live music from the Quezon City Symphonic Band, performances by PETA, screenings by CCP’s Cultural Cache, and an array of interactive art workshops.

More than an art fair, this is a call to live your art—to paint, carve, play, and experience creativity in all its forms.
