Lenovo has once again proven its leadership in global supply chain excellence, rising to 8th place in the Gartner Supply Chain Top 25 for 2025. This two-spot climb from last year marks Lenovo’s continued ascent among the world’s top companies across industries including pharmaceuticals, automotive, FMCG, and technology.

The annual Gartner ranking celebrates organizations that consistently demonstrate world-class performance in supply chain strategy, innovation, and execution. Lenovo’s recognition reflects not just operational excellence—but its bold transformation driven by artificial intelligence (AI).

“At Lenovo, our mission is to create Smarter AI for All,” said Che Min Tu, SVP and Group Operations Officer. “To deliver the intelligent technology our customers expect, we lead by example in our own operations. By embedding AI across our global supply chain, we’ve been able to boost responsiveness, improve customer satisfaction, and significantly reduce order-to-ship times.”

Smarter AI at the Core of Lenovo’s Supply Chain Transformation

Over the past eight years, Lenovo has been on a focused digital transformation journey—enhancing planning, streamlining procurement, strengthening supplier collaboration, and improving end-to-end logistics visibility. These initiatives have been deeply aligned with the company’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals, ensuring sustainability is embedded in every improvement.

Now, AI is accelerating that momentum.

With the support of over 75 in-house researchers, including 22 PhDs, Lenovo has developed a comprehensive suite of AI-powered tools and intelligent agents that are actively transforming its supply chain. These tools are helping teams make faster, more informed decisions—driving operational efficiency and business agility.

AI-Driven Impact: From Planning to Customer Satisfaction

Within Lenovo’s supply chain, AI is enhancing planning precision, enabling intelligent production scheduling, and fostering real-time responsiveness. AI systems have also improved accountability and cost-efficiency across Lenovo’s manufacturing and logistics operations.

“Our AI systems are not only boosting productivity—they’re directly impacting our customers,” said Guan Wei, SVP and Head of Global Supply Chain. “Through AI-driven customer sentiment analysis, we’ve gained richer insights into consumer needs and recurring issues, which has led to greater customer satisfaction and improved warranty performance.”

A Truly Global & Resilient Supply Chain

Lenovo operates over 30 manufacturing facilities across 11 markets, including Asia Pacific, China, EMEA, North America, and South America. This expansive global footprint offers exceptional flexibility, allowing Lenovo to respond swiftly to evolving market conditions and potential disruptions.

In February 2025, Lenovo—in collaboration with Alat—broke ground on a new manufacturing hub in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Scheduled for completion in 2026, the site will produce millions of laptops, desktops, and servers for regional demand, further strengthening Lenovo’s presence and production capability in the Middle East.

“In today’s world, being resilient is no longer enough,” said Ben Massie, VP of Global Supply Chain for Lenovo’s Infrastructure Solutions Group. “We’re building an ‘anti-fragile’ supply chain—one that doesn’t just survive disruption, but grows stronger because of it.”

Lenovo’s continued rise in the Gartner Supply Chain Top 25 is more than a ranking—it’s a reflection of its commitment to innovation, customer-centricity, and operational excellence powered by AI.
