After winning hearts with his powerful portrayal of April Boy Regino in “Idol: The April Boy Regino Story,” rising star John Arcenas now takes the spotlight as a recording artist with the release of three soul-stirring ballads under ABS-CBN’s StarPop label.
Leading his debut is a fresh rendition of “Sigurado,” originally popularized by Belle Mariano and written by Trisha Denise. John’s version breathes new life into the track, delivering a tender, heartfelt performance that captures the quiet strength and vulnerability of truly loving someone.
Also part of his debut trio are:
- “Paano Ba” – a poignant reflection on the pain of letting go and the bittersweet process of moving on from heartbreak; and
- “Isa Pang Ikaw” – a romantic ballad about finding that rare kind of love that feels like home.
Both songs were penned by Richanne Charms Jacinto and produced by StarPop’s label head Rox Santos, showcasing John’s emotional range and vocal depth.
Before launching his music career, John earned attention for his roles in the Netflix youth series “Happy Crush” and the stage musical “Juan Luna: Isang Sarsuwela.” His breakout performance as April Boy Regino proved his versatility and confirmed his place among today’s most promising young talents.
