Orange Magazine PH proudly celebrates its 15th anniversary this July—a milestone that reflects its evolution from a bold startup idea into one of the Philippines’ most dynamic and influential digital media platforms. Since its formal launch in 2010, Orange Magazine has championed fresh, relevant, and truthful content that continues to resonate with a diverse and ever-growing online audience.

The brainchild of Jessie Bunyi Villanueva, more popularly known as Jeman, Orange Magazine was inspired by his passion for magazines and his vision for a more independent and inclusive media platform. Having worked as a tabloid correspondent and print promotions coordinator, Jeman saw the emerging internet era as a powerful opportunity to redefine publishing.

“I’ve always wanted to have my own magazine where I can share whatever content I’m passionate about—without limitations,” shares Jeman.

The name “Orange” was chosen not only for its freshness and appeal but also because the color symbolizes a new dawn—a fresh start, much like the kind of content Orange Magazine delivers: vibrant, relevant, and always evolving.

A Strategic Leap into Digital

From the beginning, Jeman recognized that the future of media was online. The shift to digital allowed Orange Magazine to be accessible to a wide audience while maintaining editorial integrity and providing a safe, inclusive space for readers of all ages—including teens.

“I knew early on that digital content would be easier to promote, reach more people, and attract brands and advertisers—especially with the rise of social media,” he explained.

With this foresight, Orange Magazine quickly gained traction. It featured a remarkable mix of local and international personalities—from global superstars like Westlife, Bruno Mars, and Jay Park, to K-Pop acts such as 2AM and One Way, as well as beloved Filipino artists like Christian Bautista, Gloc-9, Anne Curtis, Glaiza De Castro, The Itchyworms, and even public figures like Senator Gringo Honasan and Rea Anicoche Tan of Beautéderm Corporation.

A Digital Force with Millions of Reach

Fifteen years later, Orange Magazine boasts massive online visibility, with impressive metrics across platforms:

  • 7.3 million reach on Facebook
  • 3.8 million on TikTok
  • 1.8 million on Instagram
  • 41.2 million views on YouTube

Its success is built not just on star power, but on meaningful content, reader engagement, and interactive campaigns that keep followers loyal and active.

The Team Behind the Success

While Jeman remains the driving force as online publisher and editor-in-chief, Orange Magazine’s continued growth is made possible by a dedicated and passionate team.

“Jeman built a strong foundation, but the continuous evolution of Orange Magazine has been a collective effort,” says Kister Morata, Jeman’s business partner and content creator. “Thanks to Orange, I’ve worked with dream brands and traveled overseas. It’s been a blessing.”

Another team member, Sharmaine Rodriguez, echoes the sentiment:

“When I joined, I was struck by how open the team was to fresh ideas. Orange is a space where you can genuinely shape stories and connect with people.”

Together, Team Orange embraces innovation—always exploring new formats, interactive features, and meaningful ways to engage the digital community.

A Celebration to Remember
