Solence Releases New Single & Reveals 'Angels Calling' Album, Out October 3_2

The world can be a tough place, but SOLENCE—Sweden’s electrifying electronic metal quartet—believes in music as a remedy. Known for their high-octane performances and unshakable optimism, SOLENCE returns with their most ambitious and uplifting project yet: ANGELS CALLING, set for release on October 3 via Better Noise Music.

Fusing massive pop hooks, razor-sharp electronic elements, and the melodic weight of modern Swedish metal, ANGELS CALLING is a bold step forward for the band. The album showcases their unique sound—both hypnotic and anthemic—crafted to lift listeners from despair into hope.

Pre-orders for ANGELS CALLING are now live, including an instant download of the explosive first single, “Where Were You..?”. The track’s music video is available now on Better Noise Music’s official YouTube channel.

“‘Where Were You..?’ is a fast, fun track about the sting of betrayal—when a friend vanishes in your time of need,” says guitarist David Strääf. “It’s got everything: a soaring chorus, modern production, and a heavy, bouncy breakdown that pushes genre boundaries.”

SOLENCE will bring their contagious energy to Europe this fall, joining Nothing More on tour starting November 7 in Finland, alongside Catch Your Breath and Ankor. Tickets go on sale Friday, May 16 at 10 a.m. CET via their official website.

With ANGELS CALLING, SOLENCE re-emerges with a refreshed sound, bold visuals, and renewed purpose. “I’ve always felt like my time on Earth might be short, as if I won’t live long,” frontman Markus Videsäter shares. “That urgency drives our music—it’s about passion, purpose, and squeezing every drop out of life before the angels call us home.”

Originally from Sweden and now based in Los Angeles, the band features Videsäter (vocals), Strääf (guitar), Johan Swärd (keys), and David “Viking” Vikingsson (drums). Their mission? To bring joy, adrenaline, and emotional release to fans around the world. “SOLENCE is about good vibes, good music, and good times,” Videsäter says. “We’re here to remind people that rock can be fun again.”

Their songwriting, he adds, remains deeply personal and motivational. “I still write to inspire myself to get out of bed. ANGELS CALLING takes that energy and injects it with even more fire. I love every track. This album feels huge.”

The album follows the January release of their EP BLUE MONDAY, which featured crowd favorites like “Fk The Bad Vibes,” “A Banger A Day Keeps The Doctor Away,” and “Who You Gonna Call? (Solence).” The latter earned a spot on the Houston Chronicle’s “Top 50 Best Underground Music Videos of 2024.” BLUE MONDAY also includes remixes of their hit “Good Fking Music” by Swedish producer MVRE and L.A.-based kodeblooded (Asking Alexandria, Charlotte Sands).

Over the years, SOLENCE has become a staple on global stages, opening for acts such as Five Finger Death Punch, Ice Nine Kills, Electric Callboy, We Came As Romans, and The HU, while rocking major festivals like Rock For People, Graspop Metal Meeting, Resurrection Fest, Tuska Festival, Nova Rock, Aftershock, Louder Than Life, and Blue Ridge Rock Fest.

Their high-energy performances are more than concerts—they’re full-body experiences, with fans bouncing and singing along from the first note to the last.

Recognized by Pandora as one of the “Rising Rock Artists To Watch In 2023,” SOLENCE has amassed over 358 million streams, 940k monthly Spotify listeners, and 96 million video views since their formation in 2012. They first gained attention with heavy covers of hits by Imagine Dragons, Fall Out Boy, Ed Sheeran, Britney Spears, and Queen before breaking out with their 2019 debut BROTHERS, followed by DIRECTION, DEAFENING (2021), and HOPE IS A CULT (2023).

Their breakout hit “Animal In Me” dominated SiriusXM Octane in 2020, and their genre-blending style was described by Octane’s Vincent Usuriello as “a dynamic fusion of rock, metal, and pop elements… an immersive sonic experience.”

Beyond their own releases, Videsäter and Strääf have also written for pop heavyweights like Jason Derulo and Bebe Rexha, adding another layer of versatility to their resume.

As they charge into 2025, SOLENCE is more energized than ever. “Until I hear the Angels Calling, I’ll keep making the most of life,” says Videsäter. “There’s no time for doubt or regrets—we only get one shot, so let’s make it count.”
