Xiaomi Clinches Institutional Investor’s Asia Executive Team Awards for Fifth Straight Year

Xiaomi Corporation (stock code: 1810), a leading consumer electronics and smart manufacturing company renowned for its smartphones and smart hardware interconnected through an Internet of Things (IoT) platform, has once again been honored by Institutional Investor, a prominent international financial magazine. For the fifth consecutive year, Xiaomi has triumphed in multiple categories of the Asia Pacific (Ex-Japan) Executive Team Awards.

In the highly competitive Technology Hardware sector, Xiaomi swept the “2023 Asia Pacific (Ex-Japan) Executive Team” awards, clinching prestigious accolades in categories such as Best CEO, Best CFO, Best Investor Relations Professional, Best Investor Relations Program, Best ESG, and Best Board. Remarkably, Xiaomi has achieved All-Star status for the second consecutive year, securing the top spot in the combined rankings across all six categories.

Notably, Mr. Lei Jun, the Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Xiaomi, claimed the top position as Best CEO. Mr. Alain Lam, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, was recognized as the Best CFO, while Anita Chen, Director of Investor Relations and Capital Markets, earned the title of Best Investor Relations Professional. Additionally, Xiaomi attained the no. 1 position in the Best Investor Relations Program, Best Investor Relations Team, Best ESG, and Best Board categories. This recognition marks the fifth year since Xiaomi’s stock market debut that the company has been featured in these prestigious rankings, showcasing the capital market’s profound appreciation of the firm’s corporate governance and investor relations management capabilities.

The rankings for this year’s survey were based on companies’ performance from February 2022 to January 2023. These rankings serve as a benchmark for exemplary corporate governance standards, as they are determined by recognized members within the financial sector, ensuring the legitimacy of the awards.

This year’s survey witnessed participation from a total of 5,660 portfolio managers, buy-side analysts, and 814 sell-side analysts in the Asia Pacific (Ex-Japan) region. The survey evaluated 1,608 nominated companies across 18 sectors, focusing on core aspects such as Financial Disclosure, Services & Communication, and ESG, in addition to attributes for CEOs, CFOs, and the Best IR Professionals.
