Teach for the Philippines has proudly announced the receipt of a USD 250,000 grant from the Visa Foundation, aimed at bolstering its extensive student and leadership development initiatives nationwide.

This generous grant from the Visa Foundation will empower Teach for the Philippines (TFP) to assist public school students and communities in rebounding from the exacerbated learning setbacks caused by the pandemic. Specifically, the funding will bolster student development programs focused on enhancing the reading, numeracy, and essential life skills of young learners, alongside leadership development initiatives aimed at deploying transformative educators and changemakers within schools and educational governance agencies. Through this strategic partnership, TFP is committed to enhancing learning outcomes and enriching the lives of Filipino children and communities across the nation.

Part of the Visa Foundation Gives program—an ongoing initiative launched in 2022—the grant underscores Visa’s dedication to addressing local social issues in communities where its employees reside and work. Furthermore, the initiative will facilitate Visa employees’ involvement in volunteer activities with Teach for the Philippines, thereby amplifying the organization’s impact within the community and advancing its mission.
