Drag Pop artist Viñas Deluxe brings a playful and colorful vibe to her newly released debut single “I’m Feeling Sexy Tonight,” marking the start of her new era as a recording artist. The multi-talented drag queen, who gained public attention for her appearance on RuPaul’s “Drag Race Philippines” last year, showcases over nine fabulous outfits in the music video that perfectly match the vibrant settings and fellow drag queens.
Viñas, who also serves as the music video producer alongside Tarsier Records, collaborated with creative director Ejay Dimayacyac to deliver a visually stunning and entertaining music video. Originally released in 1983 by Chona Cruz, “I’m Feeling Sexy Tonight” explores the theme of self-love and challenges traditional notions of what sexy means. Viñas, with the help of producers Theo Martel and Moophs, presents an edgier drag-pop version that encourages listeners to embrace and celebrate their uniqueness.
Viñas explained that she released the song now because she feels empowered and sexier than ever, despite receiving criticism for her body shape. She hopes that her song will inspire and empower others to be confident and unapologetically themselves.
Known for her artistic skills in designing outfits and her comedic side, Viñas is dubbed the “pambansang bunganga” and a “campy queen.” She is set to play a role in the ABS-CBN series “Drag You and Me” alongside other famous drag artists such as Precious Paula Nicole, Brigiding, and Xilhouette.
