It was a great 2015 for the singer Edward Benosa who was first spotted at The Voice 2013 blind auditions. Although none of the judges turned, Edward was still impressed the judges with his looks especially Sarah G. Even Toni Gonzaga was shouting backstage asking the judges to turn around because he is handsome.
Last 2015, Edward launch an album with his most famous hit song “Di Man Lang Nagpaalam”. It made it to the country’s top music charts and even won for him two awards:
- Best New Artist trophy from the Star Awards for Music
- MOR Awards of radio station 101.9FM
These awards were affirmations and proof that Edward is in the right place and still have great potentials in the music industry.
“Sa isang nagsisimula na tulad ko, o kahit sinong nagsisimula, mabigyan ka ng Best New Artist of the year, parang enough reason na ‘yon na ipagpatuloy mo itong ginagawa mo. Susundan na kailangan, ipagpatuloy ang sinimulan,” Edward said.
So for 2016, Edward’s goal is to keep the momentum. He wants to do more, maybe do a concert, another album and even try more theater.
