UNAHCO spearheads talk regarding biosecurity to hog raisers in Sta. Rosa, Nueva Ecija

Last week, the hog industry was put in a predicament as huge percentage of pork supply in the country suffers from African Swine fever (ASF)

Various organizations and companies spearheaded by the Department of Agriculture have taken action regarding the matter and are continuing the fight against ASF and supporting hog raisers nationwide.

Last March 17, The leader in animal nutrition and health care solutions, Univet Nutrition and Animal Healthcare Company (UNAHCO) led a one-day demo session called “Bangon Kaagapay Sanib Pwersa sa Pagbangon,” to teach backyard hog raisers in Sta. Rosa, Nueva Ecija regarding the basics of biosecurity and to counter the spread of the hog disease.

The Department of Agriculture and UNAHCO has also forged a memorandum of agreement (MoU) to implement the BABay ASF sa Barangay and INSPIRE twin program to help the struggling hog raisers in the Philippines.
