UAE showcases outstanding vaccination program through a special Emirates flight

The world suffered grave repercussion due to the global pandemic. While some countries are continuing to fight COVID-19, most of them have started to slowly heal their nation as they distribute vaccine to their respective citizens.

The UAE is one of the world’s leading nation vaccine providers for its citizens and residents and has provided all four vaccines free of charge for COVID-19. On April 10, 2021, a special flight that only fully vaccinated passengers and crews will take part, Emirates is demonstrating the remarkable progress of the UAE in its vaccination program.

UAE citizens and residents who have completed a period of two weeks following the second dose of COVID-19 will receive tickets for flight EK2021. The Emirates Airline Foundation, a non-profit charity organization supporting projects globally to promote health and wellbeing for underprivileged youth, will receive every fee earned on this special flight EK2021.

The newest Emirates A380, which offers brand new Premium Economy seates and refreshed indoor cable cars, will be available to passengers throughout all classes of cabins.

Before boarding, passengers can also try out all the latest travel-oriented measures, including the new biometric and contactless technology recently implemented in Emirates at check-in points and boarding gates at Dubai Airport.

The one-off flight is an event also highlights the progress made by Emirates in vaccinating its staff, particularly pilots and cabin crews.

As of the moment more than 85% of Emirates flight personnel received the vaccine through one of the companies’ vaccination centers. Meanwhile in the United Arab Emirates, more than 8 million immunizations have been administered, protecting more than half the UAE population.

Tickets can be purchased from the Emirates contact center, Emirates sales offices in the UAE, as well as local travel agents. Tickets are priced at AED 1,000 per person in Economy, and AED 2,000 in Business Class.
