Teleperformance supports Davao frontliners donation Southern Philippines Medical Center

In line with its commitment to help cities across the country in their fight against Covid-19, Teleperformance Philippines, through its corporate social responsibility arm Citizen of the World, is making a donation to the Southern Philippines Medical Center.

Dr. Ricardo B. Audan (middle), Medical Center Chief II of Southern Philippines Medical Center, receives a check representing the Php 300,000 donation from Teleperformance. Joining him were Teleperformance Davao Site Director Ervin John Gok-ong and Human Resources Manager Josie Sacala

The PHP 300,000 donation aims to support the health frontliners of Davao City as they continue to serve its citizens amidst the ongoing pandemic. This amount is a collective offering of Teleperformance Philippines employees, who raised their donations through Citizen of the World program, and the amount was matched by Teleperformance.

Citizen of the World, which provides a channel for employees across the Teleperformance organization to work together for the benefit of others, has been proactively supporting collective efforts against the Covid-19 pandemic.

Citizen of the World provided support to private organizations and public institutions based in Metro Manila and Rizal province to aid in their fight against the effects of the virus. This came in various forms of donation like medical equipment, grocery packages, and monetary aid among others.

“As we continue to fight the same battle, Teleperformance and Citizen of the World would like to show our support to the city of Davao. We hope that our contribution to the Southern Philippines Medical Center will support the city’s frontliners in overcoming the challenges brought by the pandemic and will help us come together stronger as a community,” said Jeffrey Johnson, Senior Vice President for Human Capital Resource Management of Teleperformance Philippines and Citizen of the World Foundation President.

Since the start of the Covid-19 crisis, Teleperformance has paid careful attention to not only support communities during the pandemic, but to also initiate efforts to promote the safety and well-being of their employees. A Great Place to Work® certified company, Teleperformance Philippines has strictly implemented sound health and safety measures in all its business locations including in Davao City, abiding by the guidelines set by the World Health Organization and the Department of Health in the Philippines.

These include the completion of health declaration forms prior to worksite entry, temperature checks twice a day for employees onsite, provision for transport assistance, as necessary, for those going home, strict implementation of physical distancing in the workstations and employee common areas, among others. Medical consultations and procedures, including testing and care for Covid-19, are covered in Teleperformance’s HMO program.

Teleperformance Philippines will also be offering free Covid-19 vaccinations for their more than 47,000 employees in the country nationwide, which aims not only to honor its commitment to protecting the health of its people, but also to help governments address the pandemic with agile, large-scope support of vaccination programs deployed at the corporate level.

Teleperformance Philippines is currently collaborating with government agencies and employers in the country to quickly secure the supply of safe and effective FDA-approved vaccines for their employees.

As the fight against Covid-19 continues, Teleperformance aims to continue its close collaboration with local government units, health agencies and other organizations to provide further support to protect the health and safety of the residents of Davao City.
