Get ready for more intense battles as the super soldiers gear up to take on the iconic superhero Darna (Jane De Leon) in “Mars Ravelo’s Darna,” the highly-anticipated Kapamilya series that has generated a lot of buzz and spawned Darna-related content with the #Darna hashtag. In 2022, it has generated 2.3 billion combined views on TikTok.
Under the command of General Borgo (Richard Quan), a group of characters including Narda’s former suitor Noah Vallesteros (Paolo Gumabao), her co-worker Andrei Abesamis (Young JV), Borgo’s aide Xandra (Kim Rodriguez), police officer Arthur Pineda (Eric Fructuoso), journalist Sigfried Cruz (Joshua Colet), Mayor Zaldy Vallesteros (Simon Ibarra), and his assistant Maisha Rodriguez (Dawn Chang) have all transformed into Extras and gained superpowers. Regina’s (Janella Salvador) assistant Ali Corpuz (Mark Manicad) is also set to become a super soldier, as teased in the series’ teaser.
Noah and Andrei first teamed up to use their fiery and explosive powers to cause destruction during a charity ball event, while Sigfried was given a serum to transform into an Extra after proving his loyalty to Borgo. After revealing his connections to drug syndicates and Brian Robles’ (Joshua Garcia) deceased father, police officer Arthur escaped from a hospital with Sigfried’s help to become Borgo’s ally.
When the mastermind behind the drug syndicates, Mr. X, was revealed to be Mayor Zaldy, he desperately attempted to escape Darna and the police by injecting a serum that turned him into a giant Extra with astounding muscular strength. Meanwhile, his assistant Maisha sought the help of businesswoman Victoria Villaceran (Carla Martinez) who turned out to be another of Borgo’s identities. Maisha accepted the serum from Borgo and joined his army of Extras.
With a group of super soldiers and her arch-nemesis Valentina planning to cause even more danger, Darna is pushed to her limits as she fights to protect the people of Nueva Esperanza.
