Sun Life of Canada (Philippines), Inc. has once again been honored with the prestigious Platinum Award in the Life Insurance category at the recently concluded Trusted Brand Awards organized by Reader’s Digest.
The Platinum Award is esteemed as the highest recognition in the Trusted Brand Awards, with only one winner bestowed with this honor. Determined solely by consumer voting, over 8,000 individuals across the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Taiwan rated 50 categories of products and services based on criteria such as trustworthiness, credibility, quality, value, innovation, social responsibility, and understanding of customer needs. Sun Life was once again selected by Filipinos as their most trusted brand in the Life Insurance category.
This achievement coincides with Sun Life’s distinction as the leading life insurer in the country in terms of premium income, as reported by the Insurance Commission.

The Trusted Brand Awards ceremony took place on March 22, 2024, at the Marco Polo Hotel in Ortigas, Pasig City, attended by Sun Life representatives including Carla Gonzalez-Chong, Don Aaron Peji (Brand Strategy & Management Head), and Lennie Arboleda (Public Relations & Corporate Communications Head).
This marks Sun Life’s 15th consecutive year being recognized in the Trusted Brand Awards, having received the Platinum Award for the past seven years and the Gold Award before that.
