*Travel Convenience: AirAsia opens ticketing office on Boracay Island

Boracay remains a top choice for AirAsia Philippines’ travelers, surpassing Bohol, Cebu, and Puerto Princesa in popularity. Recent data from AirAsia reveals that 250,000 guests have already booked flights to the island for travel between February and May, accounting for 72% of last year’s total of 377,000 guests. This upward trend is expected to significantly contribute to Boracay’s economy, with the Department of Tourism and the Local Government of Aklan anticipating over 2.3 million tourists to visit the island this year.

“Boracay ranks among our top three most visited domestic destinations. It attracts travelers not only during the summer but throughout the year. During the pandemic, Boracay served as a refuge for remote work setups. Now, the island has regained its popularity for both short and long vacations,” shares AirAsia’s Head of Communications and Public Affairs and First Officer, Steve Dailisan.

To enhance convenience, especially for guests planning extended stays on the island, AirAsia’s travel partner, TravelOnlinePH, has opened its Travel & Service Center in the heart of Boracay. This center offers assistance to tourists looking to rebook tickets, arrange accommodations, book activities, and access other travel services with the guidance of dedicated travel experts.

Located at Station 2, AirAsia’s Travel & Service Center is easily accessible to guests, situated within proximity to mid-range hotels, shopping centers, restaurants, and bars.

“We aim to ensure that guests can easily manage their flight bookings while enjoying their holiday on the island. TravelOnlinePH has consistently been a reliable offline partner, and we extend our warmest congratulations as they reach this milestone,” adds Dailisan.

Ensure your flights are booked and stay informed about the latest travel advisories, guidelines, and promotions by using the airasia Superapp and visiting AirAsia’s official website at www.airasia.com.
