  • Skyro unveiled new HQ in Mandaluyong, a new home to foster collaboration, well-being, and productivity for employees.

Since commencing operations in the Philippines nearly two years ago, the rapidly expanding fintech brand Skyro has witnessed remarkable growth, establishing a vast network of over 500 partner merchants and a significant presence in more than 3,000 stores nationwide.

As the brand continues its expansion and endeavors to provide more Filipinos access to credit opportunities through its inclusive digital financial products, Skyro acknowledges the indispensable role played by its workforce in achieving these milestones.

From its modest beginnings with a small team of 42 employees in 2022, Skyro has grown its workforce to over 1,200 employees today—an achievement that underscores the company’s aggressive expansion and growth trajectory as it aims to reach more Filipino customers in the years ahead.

“Reflecting on our journey, I am deeply grateful for the remarkable dedication demonstrated by our employees. Their unwavering commitment and tireless efforts have been pivotal in driving Skyro’s growth and success,” remarked Nasim Aliev, Skyro’s co-founder and co-CEO.

Asiya Erzhanova, Skyro’s Head of Human Resources, added, “Each member of our team plays a crucial role in shaping our company’s story, and their passion propels our mission to revolutionize the fintech industry. At Skyro, we hold immense gratitude for our people’s contributions, and we are dedicated to cultivating a culture of appreciation and empowerment, ensuring that every individual feels valued and supported on their professional journey.”

Fostering a culture centered on diversity, equality, and inclusion (DEI)

As Skyro gears up for its expansion in the coming year, the company is steadfast in its commitment to nurturing a culture centered on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). This commitment serves as a cornerstone of Skyro’s values, acknowledging the potential of every employee regardless of sexual orientation, age, gender identity, nationality, disability, ethnic origin, or marital status.

Skyro takes pride in its diverse workforce, maintaining a balanced gender distribution with nearly equal representation of males (48%) and females (52%) across the company. Furthermore, the company places a premium on cultural diversity, ensuring Filipino executives have equal opportunities to occupy top management positions alongside expatriate leaders.

The workforce at Skyro is a blend of seasoned industry veterans providing mentorship and support to young professionals eager to contribute insights into industry trends. Millennials constitute 74.2% of the workforce, while centennials make up 24.0%, with Gen X representing 1.8%.

In embracing its diverse employment culture, Skyro has recruited talent from over 10 different countries, including the Philippines. The company also takes pride in hiring 156 individuals from Visayas and 103 from Mindanao, thereby providing opportunities to Filipinos across the country.

Through its DEI initiatives, Skyro aims to cultivate a workplace that is diverse and inclusive, where employees can freely share unique perspectives, respect one another’s individual needs, and unlock their full potential without encountering barriers.

Celebrating Skyro Day and unveiling of new HQ for employees

In an effort to provide Filipinos with insights into the fintech industry, Skyro celebrated Skyro Day last March 25, during which Skyro employees shared their experiences on social media, offering a glimpse into what it’s like to work at a fintech company like Skyro.

This initiative not only aims to showcase Skyro’s culture but also seeks to dispel common misconceptions about working in fintech. As a leading fintech brand in the Philippines, Skyro actively supports the country’s burgeoning fintech market, providing numerous opportunities for Filipinos to enter an industry that promotes growth, learning, and fulfillment.

In line with this commitment, Skyro announced its recent relocation to a new headquarters in Mandaluyong City, reflecting the company’s expansion plans and preparations for welcoming more talent in the coming months. Situated at Robinsons Cybergate Tower 3, this new workspace was designed to foster an environment conducive to collaboration, wellness, and productivity.

As Skyro continues to expand its operations in the Philippines, the company remains dedicated to prioritizing its employees. Skyro believes that nurturing an empowered and diverse workforce will enable them to deliver superior services, offerings, and experiences to their valued Filipino customers.

Skyro is a fintech company duly licensed and supervised by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). To explore Skyro’s digital financial products, visit its official website at www.skyro.ph. Follow its official Facebook and Instagram accounts for updates on the latest promos and offerings.
