The all male hunks group Masculados is popular for their novelty songs:  ‘Lagot Ka’, ‘Sana Mama’, and ‘Macho Papa’, ‘Jumbo Hotdog’,  ‘Ganda, Ganda! Seksi, Seksi!’ , ‘Di ko Mapigil’, ‘Hawakan Mo Na’, and the ‘Masculados Mashup’.

Last August 3, the Masculados appeared on GMA-7’s Sunday All-Star (SAS)  singing their three hot songs —‘Lagot  Ka’ , ‘Sana Mama’, and ‘Jumbo Hotdog’.

The latest addition to the group is Austrian-Filipino David Karell. They are currently now also looking for a new member.

The Search for the New Masculados will be held on Saturdays of September ( September 6, 13, 20, and 27) at the Fisher Mall, Quezon Avenue, Quezon City.

According to Direk Maryo J., “The search is not just about showcasing the ‘Masculados’ form, but also inspiring people to be healthy and be in great sculptured shape at the same time. Apart from being hunky, we also want to discover talented males who will be health and wellness ambassadors.”

Mechanics   

1. The contest  is open to all single FILIPINO males: ages 18 to 24 years old, at least 5 ft. & 10 inches tall, with  masculine physique and charm  & well developed muscle and of good moral character. Has talent in singing and dancing (must perfrom one(1) of Masculados song of his choice)

2. Aspiring contestants shall bring with them the following requirements:

• Authenticated Birth Certificate
• Resume/Bio-Data
• 1 x 3R Whole Body Picture & 1 x 3R Close Up Picture
• Residence Certificate/NBI Clearance/School or Any Government Issued ID

4. There will be SIX(6)aspirants chosen EVERY WEEK to vie for the final  round on September 27, 2014.  Top 6 shall be announced outrightly after the audition process. The decision of the judges is final.  List of the  weekly TOP6 shall be posted at the designated Fisher Mall area and thru TEXT/CALL info.  Total Eighteen (18) aspirants will vie for the GRAND FINAL SEARCH.

5.  The GRAND FINAL SEARCH will be composed of 18 FINALISTS and will be judged  according to the following criteria :

• X  Factor & Masculine Physique  30%
• Talent (Sing & Dance)                    30%
• Intelligence                                       20%
• Votes                                                  20%
• Total                                                 100%

Note : VOTING COMPONENT –  finalists will be provided each with a VOTE BOX with their picture pasted on it,  where their supporters drop the corresponding points earned from the purchases they made from any of the  sponsoring products. Validating team will be accompanied by the finalists’ representatives an hour before the show will start. The highest vote  is equivalent to                                                    20% and so fort. OFFICIAL VOTING PERIOD starts from September 21 -27, 2014.

7.     Each  sponsoring product shall be labeled with corresponding equivalent number of votes based on the PESO VALUE of the product. Sponsors  shall  provide the list and price of participating products for sale.  Purchases of the participating products shall only be made at the Fisher Mall outlet of sponsors, department store and supermarket provided with an Official Receipt.   Purchases not made within the Fisher Mall shall not be considered valid for the voting. All  voting entries shall be within the period of the event.

8.  WINNERS:

Grand Winner      –     will automatically be the  New Masculados.
