Road to Serbia:Red Bull Philippines Crowns Champions for Half Court 2023 World Finals

After a thrilling and fiercely contested National Finals on June 3rd, Red Bull Philippines has officially announced the country’s representatives for the culmination of Red Bull Half Court 2023. The Wildcard teams showcased their dominance in the tournament, with TNT Triple Giga emerging victorious in the Men’s Division, while Uratex Dream outshined seven other female teams to secure their place as the country’s unrivaled representative in the Women’s Division. Both teams will proudly carry the nation’s flag as they compete in the World Finals set to take place in Serbia in September.

TNT Triple Giga, composed of Almond Vosotros, Ping Exciminiano, Gryann Mendoza, and Lervin Flores, displayed unwavering determination and resilience as they outperformed their competitors. In a winner-takes-all showdown against the CAVITEX Braves, Almond Vosotros defied the odds and rallied his team to a hard-fought victory in a nail-biting match that concluded with a final score of 20 to 21.

“For me, the experience is always there, and it’s a big help for me. Ping and Gryann adapted well too. Plus, we’ve been together for a long time, so I think that’s our advantage,” expressed Vosotros.

Meanwhile, Uratex Dream dominated the Women’s Division throughout the tournament, leaving no room for doubt as they secured their spot with a resounding win against Team FILA. Kaye Pingol, alongside her teammates Mikka Cacho, Samantha Harada, and Blanche Bahuyan, made their intentions clear from the outset—to claim victory. Motivated more than ever, these four women aim to carry their winning momentum to the World Finals.

Tournament Commissioner Coach Eric Altamirano expressed his delight with the success of the event and believes that this season is just the beginning for Red Bull Half Court Philippines.

“I think it’s a good start for Red Bull Half Court, and I believe they will continue this tradition every year. This is a great stepping stone for the program. Undoubtedly, more participants will prepare and join next year, and everyone will eagerly anticipate the Red Bull event each year,” remarked Altamirano.

The highly anticipated World Finals of Red Bull Half Court 2023 will take place in Serbia in September. Following their triumph at the National Finals, both Triple TNT Giga and Uratex Dream are more motivated than ever to secure the championship in their respective divisions.
