The Pokémon Company’s smartphone app, Pokémon Sleep, available on both iOS and Android, is thrilled to unveil its Halloween-themed event, “Halloween 2023 — Double Candy Research.” An annual tradition, this week-long event will take place within Pokémon Sleep on Greengrass Isle, commencing on October 30, 2023, at 4:00 a.m., and concluding on November 6, 2023, at 3:59 a.m.

During Halloween 2023 — Double Candy Research, irrespective of your sleep patterns, you’ll have the opportunity to encounter Pikachu donning a Halloween hat, alongside numerous Ghost-type Pokémon like Gastly. Engaging in sleep research will yield at least double the standard amount of candies, and you can also accomplish special missions to earn Handy Candies and other valuable items.

Be on the lookout for Pikachu adorned with a Halloween hat featuring a ghost emblem, making appearances throughout the event!

The timing of the event’s beginning and end, as well as the daily rollover time, is based on the user’s individual time zone.

The in-game event, Good Sleep Day, is set to take place from October 28, Saturday, at 4:00 a.m. until October 31, Monday, at 3:59 a.m. The event spans three days, with Day 1 running from October 28, Saturday, at 4:00 a.m. to October 29, Sunday, at 3:59 a.m. Day 2, which coincides with a full moon night, runs from October 29, Sunday, at 4:00 a.m. until October 30, Monday, at 3:59 a.m. Day 3 is observed from October 30, Monday, at 4:00 a.m. to October 31, Tuesday, at 3:59 a.m.

Please keep in mind that each day of the Good Sleep Day event commences at 4:00 a.m.

Pokémon Sleep Achieves Over 100,000 Years of Sleep Tracking

On Thursday, September 21, just a little over two months since the app’s release, the cumulative sleep tracking worldwide through Pokémon Sleep* had surpassed 900 million hours.

*The tracked sleep time includes the duration between a user initiating the Sleep function and concluding the Sleep Session, excluding any time when the user was not asleep, as determined by the app’s algorithm.

The total sleep time, equivalent to 3,180,183,109,110 seconds, encompasses all the sleep tracked by Pokémon Sleep users across the globe, commencing at midnight (UTC) on July 16th, 2023, Sunday, the day of the app’s global launch, and concluding at 11:59 p.m. (UTC) on September 21, Thursday.

To put it in perspective, 900 million hours translate to approximately 105,000 years.
