Movie Review: ‘My Teacher’ one of the official entry to the Metro Manila Film Festival 2022

The best time to spend quality time with your family, friends, and/or loved ones is during Christmas. You should watch something nice with some lesson this season. One of the top films of the Metro Manila Film Festival 2022 was “My Teacher.”

This is a story about a teacher who returned to his home country after working abroad. She learned her lesson when she had a senior citizen dropout continuing his studies when she returned to her hometown to teach. 

The story will leave you feeling of roller coaster that will make you laugh because of the funny moments of the veteran actors and actresses such as Rufa Mae Quinto, Kakai Bautista, and  especially Joey De Leon who played the role of “Mang Solomon” Toni Gonzaga’s student who is “Emma” the teacher.


You will also be astounded by the flashbacks to your high school years that you will have while watching it, as well as by the exciting scenes involving the supporting characters. You will cry while watching this show because of the heartwarming parts featuring the teacher and her students. 

The growing romance between Loisa Andalio and Ronnie Alonte and the unexpected thrill given by the love of two male characters, Isaiah Dela Cruz and Kych Minemoto, are just two of the exciting parts of the story that you will witness in this film. So if you miss your nostalgic moments of your high school years and want a show that will teach you a lesson, this is for you.

That’s right, you must see this film!
