Mang Inasal Earns Silver Accolade at the 2023 PANAta Awards

Mang Inasal proudly received a Silver PANAta Award, a prestigious accolade in the Philippines’ premier annual recognition program for outstanding communication materials, presented by the Philippine Association of National Advertisers (PANA).

The #MangInasalFamilyFiesta TikTok Challenge was honored in the category of Brand Effectiveness through Effective Utilization of Marketing Channels (Single Medium-Digital).

Breaking away from conventional advertising and paid media approaches, Mang Inasal harnessed the power of viral marketing by leveraging TikTok and user-generated content to amplify awareness, drive conversations, and boost sales among netizens for their newly introduced Family Fiesta—a delightful bundle of char-grilled favorites, tailor-made for office parties, family gatherings, and assorted social get-togethers.

From October 20 to November 30, 2022, netizens were encouraged to order the Family Fiesta, create enjoyable consumption videos with their loved ones, and share these videos on TikTok.

The challenge resonated with the audience, amassing a staggering 30 million TikTok views during the campaign period, a remarkable 321% higher than the initial target. Its success was so profound that entertaining Family Fiesta videos continued to populate the platform even after the campaign’s conclusion, seamlessly integrating the product into the holiday celebrations of netizens. Moreover, the #MangInasalFamilyFiesta TikTok Challenge translated into tangible sales, consistently surpassing the brand’s targets over a span of three months.

In addition, other notable Mang Inasal campaigns were shortlisted for the 2023 PANAta Awards, including the #ILoveMangInasal Digital Campaign in the Brand Effectiveness through Customer Experience category and the Chicken Inasal campaign in the Brand Effectiveness through Effective Use of Marketing Channels (Integrated) category.

Back in June, the #MangInasalFamilyFiesta TikTok Challenge clinched a Gold Stevie® Award at the 2023 Asia-Pacific Stevie® Awards, earning recognition in the category of “Innovation in the Use of Viral Media or Word of Mouth.”

Mang Inasal’s other impactful digital marketing communication endeavors also received accolades. The 2022 #MomsRuleAtMangInasal campaign was honored with a Silver Anvil Award by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines, while the “16 Cups Challenge” achieved a Silver Award from the Marketing Excellence Awards-Philippines in the Excellence in Viral Marketing category.
