Kumi Koda Drops 19th Album ‘UNICORN’ Ahead of 25th Anniversary

J-pop sensation Kumi Koda has just released her 19th full-length album, ‘UNICORN’, on April 17, commemorating the 23rd anniversary of her debut. The lead single from the album, ‘Silence’, was featured as the theme song for the movie ‘Gold Boy’. You can download or stream ‘Silence’ [here].

‘UNICORN’ is a diverse collection featuring original tracks like ‘Vroom’, the tie-up song for TOKYO AUTO SALON 2024, covers of Koda’s favorite songs, and a solo version of ‘Trust · Last’, the theme song from ‘Kamen Rider Geats’.

Starting from April 20, Kumi Koda will embark on her KODA KUMI LIVE TOUR 2024 ~BEST SINGLE KNIGHT~, setting the stage on fire with performances of her countless hit singles.

About Kumi Koda

Kumi Koda made her debut with the single ‘TAKE BACK’ in November 2000. Her remix version of ‘Trust Your Love’ peaked at No.19 on the US Billboard overall chart, making her only the seventh artist from Japan ever to enter that chart.

Koda’s best-of albums released in 2005 and 2006 each sold over 2 million copies. 

In 2015, she marked the 15th anniversary of her debut with an arena tour, drawing some 110,000 fans across Japan.

Since then, Koda has been more active than ever, with tours around Asia and across all 47 prefectures of Japan.

In 2020, she established the skincare brand HEMMY K.
