The Philippine entertainment industry is once again in the spotlight as Kathryn Bernardo, one of the country’s most talented and beloved actresses, has emerged victorious at the prestigious Seoul International Drama Awards 2023.
The awards recognized actors from six Asian countries: Korea, China, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, and the Philippines. Each country had its own set of nominees, and they only competed against fellow nominees from their respective countries.

In the Philippines, the list of nominees for the Outstanding Asian Star award was nothing short of impressive. Alongside Kathryn Bernardo, other notable actors who vied for the recognition included her boyfriend, Daniel Padilla, the talented Barbie Forteza, the versatile Dennis Trillo, and the multi-talented Julie Anne San Jose.
Voting for the nominees took place over the course of a month, from June 15 to July 14, giving fans and industry enthusiasts ample time to rally behind their favorite stars.
The awarding ceremony for the 18th Seoul International Drama Awards will be held on September 21.
