JOLINA AND MARVIN HEADLINE SAGIP PELIKULA FESTIVAL ON KTX

Nineties onscreen sweethearts Marvin Agustin and Jolina Magdangal give movie fans the chance to relive the “kilig” as ABS-CBN Film Restoration premieres the digitally restored and remastered version of the tandem’s 1999 romcom hit “Hey Babe!” this April 8 (Thursday) at the on-going Sagip Pelikula Festival on KTX.

Jolina plays Abigail, a hopeless romantic who believes she will find love through luck and destiny, and even gets help from a fortune-teller to guide her to Mr. Right.

Just around the corner is Nelson (Marvin) who tries to woo her with little success. But as he discovers that Abigail believes in psychics, he schemes with the fortune-teller to lure her. Soon, Abigail becomes convinced that she has found the one and falls for him.

How long will it take before Abigail’s bubble bursts?

Based on the story by Ricky Lee, Mel Mendoza-Del Rosario, and Dindo Perez with the direction of Joyce Bernal, “Hey Babe!” was the last loveteam movie of Jolina and Marvin. It also featured Gina Pareño, Nikki Valdez, Dominic Ochoa, Alma Moreno, Joey Marquez, and more.

Tickets are now available at http://bit.ly/HeyBabeOnKTX at P150 each. Viewers will be treated to a pre-show with its stars Jolina Magdangal and Nikki Valdez, recalling their fond experiences with the film.

Meanwhile, more romantic movies will be available starting April 9 (Friday), with titles such as “Labs Kita… Okey Ka Lang?”, “Gimik: The Reunion,” “May Minamahal,” “Forevermore,” and “Radio Romance” ready to make audiences fall in love this summer.
