On July 23,2022 at the CONQuest Festival 2022 held in the SMX Convention Center Acer held a special press conference regarding the Predator League.
Executive Director of Philippine Esports Organisation (PESO) Marlon Marcelo was present at the event to show their continuous support towards the Esports initiative.
There are two games that have been chosen for this year’s Asia Pacific Predator League, DOTA 2 and Valorant.
The games will have an open qualifiers for anyone and everyone who want to participate and prove their talent and skill.Open qualifiers for DOTA 2 will last fromAugust 7 – August 20, while Valorant qualifiers will be from August 4 – August 18.
While the playoffs will be held on August 29&30 for DOTA 2 and August 31& September 1 for Valorant.
Qualifiers and Playoffs will be held through online capacity while the Grandfinals will be a 2 day on-site event on September 17&18 to be held at SM Mall of Asia.
The prize pool will be a massive 1 million pesos split for both game tittles 500,000 php for each game.
There have been a total of 8 teams invited four for each game for DOTA 2 the current Champions TNC Predator, Execration, Polaris Esports, Aexersia and the Predator Esports Circuit 2022 champion DOTA 2 Grindsky Esports.
For Valorant the invited teams are Team Secret, Oasis Gaming, Rex Regum Qeon, South Built Esports and the Predator Esports Circuit champion for Valorant Naos Esports.
Defending Champions TNC Predator were present at the event who shared their experience of going through an open qualifiers and show their determination to become back to back champions.
