According to Globe Chief Sustainability Officer and SVP for Corporate Communications, Yoly Crisanto, “We continue to support our stakeholders especially since the impact of the pandemic has yet to abate. It has affected many, including our employees, contractors, suppliers, our customers and most especially our communities. We at Globe knew that we needed to step up and provide the much-needed assistance that our kababayans require.”

Globe also gives importance on the well-being of its employees, contractors, and vendor-partners. Thus, more than Php 46 million was used to cover essentials such as health assistance, personal protective equipment, transportation fares, and meal subsidies.

Also, one of the sustainability program of Globe is to provide a look after the mental health of its people given the psychological impact that the pandemic brings, piloted HopeChat last year so that the employees could chat with licensed psychologists without compromising their privacy and safety.

In February this year, Globe’s RT-PCR testing laboratory started its operations in Mandaluyong to ensure that its workforce is properly tested and protected from the deadly virus.  The Globe RT-PCR Lab has a capacity to conduct more than 300 tests per day, and if needed, can be increased to a maximum of 800 tests per day.
